園景酒店(The Parkview Hotel)

What a disappointment. My wife and I stayed in room 414. The room smelled musty, the television did not work and the heater sounded like a freight train as it went on and off every 20 minutes. I had stayed at this hotel twice before; this will be my last time. My wife jokingly commented that that had to be one of the worst hotel stays ever.... I concur. Ironically, a friend of mine was in 404 and her television did not work as well. Perhaps the staff should check that the televisions work before renting out a room.

There was no coffee machine in the room so had to keep going downstairs for drinks. Only one nightstand, which was pretty annoying. The front desk staff were so nice and pleasant and helpful. Disappointed that the shuttle ended early as last time we were able to get a ride up to the University. No breakfast, but we knew that and had come prepared with snacks. Car parking was free and very convenient to park right outside the building. The rooms are looking a little tired but the bed was comfortable.

Spencer at the front desk could not have been any more helpful or accommodating. He represents the Parkview hotel well. The Parkview is our preferred place to stay when visiting Syracuse.

Tired of staying in the chains? Want to try something different. The Parkview is old school and very nice. If it is important to the traveler, please note there is no breakfast. There is coffee.

Easy parking. Not as many accommodations. Pretty close to bars. Bed was not as comfortable as I’d like and comforter was pretty thin. Some of the furniture needed repair had paint chipping. Kind of an older looking hotel but overall pretty good and would stay here again

The room had a funky smell, and it wasn't very clean (e.g. spots of sticky goop on the desk). Also requested housekeeping to clean my room after the first night - assuming they might remedy that - but they never came to clean and make the bed).

Spencer at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. I hope to see him again the next time we decide to stay at the Parkview.
