風車旅館(The Windmill Inn)

Very friendly welcome, good home cooked food, clean and comfortable room. We used the hotel as a stopover when travelling south to a family birthday, We will definately stay again, would also recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay.

Basic, but clean amenities, however good value for money. Nice standard continental breakfast. Kelly was very welcoming and extremely accommodating she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasurable from curling our hair to fetching a McDonald’s after the restaurant had closed. If in the area again, would definitely stay at the Windmill Inn again.

Stayed here as we had a wedding in Knutsford , Kelly and Paul went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable even arranged for a local make up artist to come and do my makeup and Kelly did my hair for me they are absolutely amazing and wonderful hosts even got a little Mother’s Day present at breakfast we will definitely be back Thanks to you both for making it a home from home and so enjoyable see yous soon xx Tricia and Chris from Liverpool

Arrived to a lovely, warm welcome. Room was large and really clean (bed super comfy!). Evening meal was amazing & to have an early continental to take with us was a lovely touch. Can’t recommend this place highly enough, esp when flying from Manchester Airport.

Amazing food and well run pub/restaurant. Hubby and I went back to this little gem and oh we was shocked. The pub has changed so much since our last visit. Would recommend for family and couples to eat and drink. Well worth your money very reasonable. Such a lovely welcome from Paul and Kelly, they remembered our drinks straight away. The lay out of the tables and also Christmas decorations were a lovely touch. We picked off their festive menu and it was amazing. Vegetables were fresh gravy was spot on. Turkey dinner was like “mums” Christmas dinner and the gravy was flavoursome. Prawn cocktail was a very good size and the Christmas pudding with brandy source was brilliant. If you’re passing from Christmas shopping you must pop in for food. This little gem is a diamond.

Very Overpriced rooms, tired decor in rooms, bathroom not cleaned (faeces left in toilet - you couldn’t make it up!), no breakfast until 9.00 - wouldn’t offer anything to take away before this time, disappointing & depressing. Find somewhere else to stay

Stayed here on 1st October for 1 night. Lovely clean place. Room was nice. Very welcoming and friendly. Would stay again. Close to Manchester airport too. We left early before breakfast so they made us a pack up to take with us which was really nice too

8 members of my family stayed here in 4 rooms. Ages ranging from 21 to 81, over a weekend, Friday to Sunday. Kelly and Paul made us feel welcome instantly. They are the management couple brought in to help improve the Hotel, and could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The bedrooms were great, plenty of room, all en suite, some even big enough to fit baths in. We were here for a nearby family wedding and loved the experience offered here. Food was excellent, catering very well for our Gluten Free needs. We had evening meal, plenty of choice, and continental breakfasts, and we were planning to leave after breakfast on Sunday, but liked it so much we stayed for carvery dinner and the Women's World Cup final match also. Kelly and Paul have put a lot of effort in to this Hotel in order to improve it over the last 6 months, and you can really tell. Water pressure in every room was amazing, and instant hot water, I can't say the same for many other hotels. Each room was a good size, and comfortable, some larger rooms also had settees in them, wardrobes, TV, kettle, iron, dressing table, wi,-fi, everything we needed. It used to be an old coaching Inn, retaining a lot of original features, and making guests instantly feel at ease, it is just off the M6, near Knutsford, conveniently located only a short trip from Manchester Airport, and nearby Tatton Hall Park. With very reasonable charges, more for your money than the Holiday Inn type hotels and with much more character. It has outside grassed, seating areas for when the weather is nice, and a decent size car park, for residents, (make sure you validate your car), as well as for non-residents for long term parking. Due to its location near a busy road, it can get noisy in some of the rooms, but with windows closed, this is hardly noticeable. This is a small price to pay for easy access to the motorway, a fair trade off, I reckon We will definitely be back, soon. Thank you Kelly and Paul

Great value for money. Really good accommodation and fantastic food. The hosts were amazing adding great service to a really friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place and will be staying again
