After spending more than five weeks travelling Sri Lanka, this was easily the worst accommodation I encountered. Sri Lanka has been extraordinary — generous, warm, and genuinely welcoming — which makes this property stand out for all the wrong reasons. From early on, there was a clear sense of judgement and discomfort that made both myself and the registered guest (my associate) feel unwelcome. What disturbed me most was the treatment of my associate, who is Sri Lankan. Background conversations in the local language (not directed at us, but clearly about the situation) created the impression that assumptions were being made. The tone felt condescending and left him feeling diminished simply for being local. That kind of subtle discrimination is unacceptable. As a solo traveller, I enjoy meeting people and being social. However, business is business, and nothing about my behaviour or stay was inappropriate. Despite this, I was made to feel scrutinised and judged, even as though I were being viewed as soliciting — an absurd and offensive implication. I want to be fair: the daily manager was genuinely professional, polite, and respectful. Unfortunately, that was not reflected across the wider experience. Other issues included: Unreliable Wi-Fi with frequent outages Ice ordered at 9pm, delivered at midnight Poor-quality, tasteless food Visible termite damage Cheap, uncomfortable furniture Poorly chosen décor No bar fridge Younger staff who appeared overworked and undervalued The property has an oppressive, negative energy. It felt more like a prison than a place of rest. I was relieved to leave early. I attempted to cancel before arrival due to a bad feeling, but the request was denied. That instinct proved right. Sri Lanka is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and it is a shame that this place stained an otherwise remarkable journey. At least the views of the beach are goodx

Excelente localização Hotel a precisar de obras de remodelação Tivemos pouca sorte, deram-nos o quarto de nome “ MORA” é o pior quarto , fica na esquina do hotel tem janelas exteriores na casa de banho que dão para o quarto , sem cortinados ou black out , e entra luz no quarto logo pelo por do sol, nesta data as 06h da manhã Não escolham este quarto é o único que acontece esta situação Pequeno almoço fraco Empregados atenciosos

What can I say but, ‘Simply Exceptional’, from the moment the gates to the drive open you realise you have arrived somewhere special. There is a certain serenity that embraces you as you walk down the entrance hall and in to the spacious and perfectly presented lounge and dining area which looks out across your private pool and down to the beach beyond the gardens. No traffic noise, just nature and the sound of the waves washing across the rocks and on to the beach. Everything is special here, the location, the villa, the friendly attentive staff dedicated to your every need, the quality and maintenance of everything, the attention to detail, the food, bedrooms and bathrooms are all wonderful. The villa boasts 7 bedrooms, 4 to the upper floor, 1 to the ground floor and 2 to the garden area, all are very spacious with comfortable beds and ample hanging and storage, all have large en-suite bathrooms with walk in showers and all but the ground floor have a large bath. The beds are comfortable, all have tv’s with access to Netflix etc. and there is ample hot water, towels and other bathroom essentials. The happy and smiling staff are always on hand to provide you the ultimate service and the 2 personal chefs create outstanding food to complement the array of cocktails and soft drinks that freely flow. We were a group of 6 couples visiting for 3 nights and they happily prepared a delicious and off menu BBQ for us on our first evening. Always important to mention the things that others might see as a negative so, the beach is beautiful but not for swimming, it’s too rough and rocky, that said , if you walk 5 minutes down the beach you’ll find turtle bay where we swam with turtles. The wine list is ok but is limited, nevertheless, much better than any other we experienced on our 2 week journey across Sri Lanka (if you’ve been here before you will understand that wine is not really the thing in Sri Lanka), so if you’re a wine connoisseur please don’t be disappointed, we all love our wine and made do with a Zin, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. In summary, if you’re looking for the ultimate chill-out villa in Sri Lanka this is the place, especially if you are a group or family that wants the place to yourselves, you will not get better! Hier waren wir bestens aufgehoben, ein kleines Hotel mit 7 Zimmern. Alle mit Meerblick. Frühstück war sehr gut und wir haben auch jeden Abend im Hotel gegessen. Das Hotel hat eine sehr gute Küche, das selbstgemachte Eis ist ein Träumchen. Die Bedienung war auch sehr aufmerksam. Am und im Pool, mit Blick aufs Meer lässt es sich auch wunderbar relaxen. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und das Bad mit Wanne und Regendusche ebenso. Wir waren zum Abschluss unserer Rundreise für 4 Nächte hier. Besser ging es nicht. Der Badestrand ist nur etwa 100 m entfernt. Mit etwas Glück trifft man dort auch die schönen Wasserschildkröten.
