麗都地中海酒店(Hotel Lido Mediterranee)

Albergo situato in una posizione fantastica. Meraviglioso il rumore del mare che fa da sottofondo alla notte. Stanze spaziose, pulite. Molto gentile e professionale il personale.Sarebbe molto un utile un rinnovo della struttura che la porterebbe ad essere veramente straordinaria.

Hotel extrêmement accueillant , bien situé à Taormine plage. Le seul bémol est que la voiture est nécessaire pour sortir de d'hôtel ; même si visiter Taormina village peut se faire avec un funiculaire à 12 mn à pied. La route est inadaptée aux piétons. Ceci étant cet hotel est bien placé pour visiter l'Etna (45mn de route) our pour rayonner à Messine

Extremely well maintained, clean hotel with excellent staff. Represented great value for beach front Taormina. The hotel has kept many original features from the 70s but is kept in immaculate condition. Food was great at lunchtime in the restaurant and the service smooth and efficient. The staff are efficient and experienced at what they do. Will definitely visit again and have recommended to others.

Bella esperienza, reception efficiente, posizione super sul Mare ed a due passi dalla funivia per Taormina, struttura dal fascino decadente, ottima la pulizia, bellissima vista dalla stanza. Servizio in spiaggia ottimo, Giovanni simpatico, gentile ed efficiente. Il personale molto carino e disponibile, in particolare Peppino. Unica nota stonata.: il ristorante da tenere a distanza!

Greeted warmly by reception staff on arrival (half board) which was situated on the 3rd floor. and shown our room by lovely lady Mona Lisa. Room was beautiful in an oldie world way with large double bed, good AC / fridge and stunning views of the sea and coastal areas. Very peaceful in the bedroom areas. The bathroom was awkward to get into but pleasantly complete. The ladies who sorted our room daily were very helpful and room cleanliness was impeccable. Thank you to all. The restaurant was on the ground floor with beautiful tree canopy. Menu provided daily for lunch and dinner. Food was good but could have offered more variety over 10 days we stayed. However always supplied with a mixed salad on request and staff were very attentive. All meals were generally taken on the sunny terrace. Breakfast was continental in the main but could have served warm scrambled eggs and less tinned fruit. Beach was accessed by stairs from restaurant and was quite stony but shoes available (but much cheaper in town). Attendants provided chairs / sunshade and table. They could have helped better with direction into the easiest way into sea (Puglian holidays we were used to this). A boat trip was booked with beach staff for birthday but boat never arrived after ¾ hour and no explanation. Lovely little beach bar next door but only open till 6pm. Food lovely and staff fun! Transport was challenging to walk into next place (on road no path / uphill) - where you could get the Funivera to Taormina town. Taxis available E10-15) locally but public transport cheaper but unreliable and no stop very near hotel. Hop on / off bus left you quite a distance from hotel which we thought was a poor option for this tourist option. Older and disabled staff may therefore find amenities to beach and outside areas challenging There was no evening entertainment which we missed. However were able to visit sister hotel in Taormina where a lovely swimming pool and gorgeous views but limited staff available for restaurant. However managed to get served a cocktail. Many thanks to all the lovely staff, Giuseppe, hotel manager - Ignatio, Roberto, Sergio Dominic / others plus Monika at breakfast.

Hotel horrible, vieillot, arrêté dans les années 70. Si nous n'avions pas payé en avance nous serions repartis tout de suite. Nous ne comprenons pas comment un hotel ainsi peut rester ouvert, l'électricité ne doit même pas être aux normes. Tout ici est triste et vieux, la vue sur la mer ne sauve pas cet établissement. De plus, la plage n'est pas très agréable, le life guard ne parle pas anglais et les transats ne sont pas confortables. Concernant la restauration, le déjeuner a été passable et cher. Quant au petit déjeuner, c'est catastrophique : les produits sont de basse qualité, le personnel désagréable et il n'y avait même pas de couverts a disposition. A fuir !

So if you are expecting lavish grandeur go some where else. Also to review this hotel negatively says more about the person than the hotel. From check in until departure we had a fantastic stay. The Hotel is spotlessly clean and kept that way . the staff work tirelessly throughout the day. Our room was kept spotless everyday by the hard working housekeeping ladies. Breakfast on the terrace, what a view and there is something for everyone's taste. The beach is a tad stony so(buy some shoes from the gents on the beach) Always sunbeds available and fresh beach towels from the life guards. All the staff without exception were friendly and really helpful. The hotel has charm and an old fashion style, we lived "La Dolce Vita" if you know you know. Could not fault this wonderful Hotel.

L'hotel è posizionato nella zona "mare" di Taormina. La struttura è antica, ma ben tenuta. La camera era vintage, ma molto bella e con vista mare. Il bagno lascia un po' a desiderare. Il personale era abbastanza cordiale. Il ristorante, a pranzo, chiude alle 14:15/30. Ero arrivata alle 14:20, ma la cucina era già chiusa. Ho preso una caprese, ma niente di eccezionale. Un po' eccessivo il prezzo. Il punto forte è senza dubbio la spiaggia. Ritornerò.
