We had a wonderful stay at the El Monte Sagrado hotel. We had mistakenly booked an accessible room, and wanted a tub in our room. Amy at the front desk was extremely helpful, and switched us into another room, brought us new keys and escorted us to a room with a wonderful tub. We were there on the last night of our honeymoon, and the staff added wonderful little perks and touches to make our honeymoon extra special. When it started raining, the valet staff had complimentary umbrellas on hand for our trip into town. In short, The El Monte Sagrado is a wonderful place with great service!

This resort could very well be a 4 star. It probably once was. We originally were staying in the Egyptian suite. This suite needs some very deep cleaning and renovation. The shower area smelled of mildew. The decorative pillars in the shower were of needed repair. Our amenities in our bathroom were limited. There was no shampoo or conditioner The Q tip package was opened. After requesting to speak to a manager, the staff handled it very well and moved us to a new suite (Jerome, very professional). The new suite was the Kama Sutra themed room. Unfortunately, the shower was also covered in mold. The chairs provided at a table were in very bad condition. The gaps in the doors and windows allowed bugs of all sort into our suite. There was also a window that we had to force close. The windows haven’t been cleaned in quite some time with all the dead bugs and spider webs present. We are also still mind boggled that the bed is located directly under sky lites. So much for wanting to sleep longer than 5am. Besides no hair dryer in the room along with only one robe and no complimentary slippers, this upscale resort lacked even the basic of amenities. The entire place is in need of a deep cleaning. The general manager needs to be fired. He or she does a great job of not being seen. As a business person who has worked in hospitality, this place reflects poor management and ownership.

It was a very nice place to stay and I highly recommend!

Room was lovely. Bed and pillows super comfy. Courtesy shuttle provided. Nice gym. Pool area was closed for maintenance, but other than that, stay was perfect.

Everything was good except the aqua part was not working and some of the hallways and buildings need major renovation. But overall it was good

Love this property, however, room is a little more worn than shown in pictures. I was upset to learn on arrival that the pool wasn’t functioning and that was never conveyed to us. Also, they advertise an onsite restaurant, which was closed 2 of 3 days we stayed. Breakfast on the day we checked out was very good.

We enjoyed our stay. The superior room was big and clean with a patio viewing of the beautiful garden, building #5 first floor. We stayed for 2 nights. We noticed that having the room next to the entrance of our building make us aware of everybody entering or leaving. Otherwise, once the people were in their room, you cannot hear anything. There's a lot to do around in this little town so another night will have been working better. The pool wasn't available, the spa and the sauna were closing early, very early. We did enjoyed our stay to this beautiful property.

Great location and serene property. Finishing touches are lacking - some broken items in our room neglected or hastily fixed. Pool and hot tub was closed due to a problem our entire stay.

This property is absolutely not worth what they’re charging. We stayed in a global suite, which featured cheesy Chinese decor. We went to New Mexico to stay in New Mexican style accommodations! The room was old, dingy, and in need of updates. Landscaping around the property is sloppy. The pool is lovely, but had to close for a portion of our stay and staff was not apologetic or helpful in terms of when it would reopen.
