Nice location, very pleasant staff. Wonderful bed. Very clean. Sadly, the internet was terrible. They tried to hook me up with the one for reception but it still didn’t work. Must give A for effort.

The property is convenient to the gate of the Old Town and the great walks, shops, and foods the area has to offer. It is great that they have some parking in a garage (limited availability). The rooms are nice. But given it is an older building converted to a hotel, the number of electrical outlets is limited (fine if you are unplugging from the grid and relaxing). The staff were great, especially Lola, who is a treasure of information and a genuinely wonderful person. Because this was a substitute when ******* had to get us another hotel when the one we had booked and was confirmed wasn't open, there were some limitstions (note: avoid the Posada La Sacristía in Tarifa, they decided to close for the winter without informing ******* or us of the fact). We did not get breakfast (it was included in our original booking); there is no coffee/tea in the room (nor is the cafe open late). However, if we visit Tarifa again, we would definitely return to the Convento.

Excelente hotel en Tarifa, los dueños siempre dispuestos a colaborar y dar indicaciones de la ciudad. Muy bonito todo.

Hotel Convento Tarifa The guys in the front desk are afable and well-mannered. The location is excellent and the area safe. There is a very short walk to the ferry station (like 6 minutes) as well as to the old town area which is very fun and good-looking. There are more than plenty of options for food. Parking is not onsite. We had to drive around and ended up in the ferry station parking lot. If you park there and have the same day ferry ticket, they’ll give you a 25% discount. Parking for us was €19.20 a night. The hotel offer is €15 a night but we didn’t even asked. One review said is really far away. Again, we cannot confirm that. One place we found for parking wanted us to leave the car key because they close at 10 pm and open at 9 am. The place was so cramped. We left since we didn’t want our rental car to be scratched or something like that. Our room door did not lock. It just closed; we felt extremely uneasy about it. The place was squeaky clean but a bit run down. For a 1⭐️ hotel was ok.
