Very clean bedroom, easy check in with staff who was in charge of the pub. Hearty breakfast at just £10 was great!

We verbleven hier op onze terugreis na een vakantie in Schotland. We hebben heerlijk kunnen eten en slapen na een lange autorit. De pub is klein maar gezellig met locals en toeristen door elkaar. De kamers kunnen een beetje TLC gebruiken, maar bed en douche zijn prima, dat is het belangrijkste wat ons betreft. Je mag ook overal komen met honden, wat voor ons handig was omdat we met onze 2 Cockers reizen. De eigenaren zijn heel vriendelijk en zelf ook gek op honden en dat merk je.

The pub is a real country pub with a roaring fire which was appreciated as it was freezing outside The staff were very amiable and couldn't do enough for us. The room was nice and comfortable and the food was very nice. We had the Border breakfast which was delicious. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others if they like good old fashioned country fayre

Just the very best friendly of places. Lime being is someone's home. Fabulous food drink selection second to none and a team of staff so happy to please. Beds so comfy bathrooms immaculate. Lovely beer garden with views to due for , this was my first visit. I certainly will return .

We had a lovely stay at The Holly Bush Inn on New Years Eve. A warm welcome from the friendly staff set the tone for the whole of our stay. Our room was a small double located at the front of the property. I t was really cute and had everything needed for a comfortable stay, including quality toiletries. We enjoyed the best cooked breakfast with quality products well cooked. I would recommend a stay here to anyone wanting to explore Northumberland.

What an amazing find. We received a really warm welcome at this lovely country pub. They immediately offered an upgrade and we had a beautiful room which was lovely and warm despite it being December. They were unable to offer evening meal but offered suggestions on where to go including the offer of eating a takeaway in the restaurant. Fabulous breakfast all freshly made with local ingredients. Can’t recommend it enough

The room was clean and pleasant enough. However the bathroom was a bit tired. Breakfast was excellent. We couldn’t get into the room until 16:00 which is getting a bit late for a cold November afternoon. We were putting our bikes in the shed when it was getting dark. Evening meals are well made and good quality food. You do need to book a table in the restaurant area at weekends and summer time. The staff were friendly and the bar is a proper one room country pub atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here on a Friday night as we were visiting the observatory. Great spot, warm and welcoming. Breakfast the next morning was great too, friendly staff and good food. Unfortunately food was unavailable in the evening but they gave some recommendations nearby which were fantastic. Would definitely stay again!

This charming old drovers’ inn, dating back more than 300 years, has so much character and warmth. The log fire, cosy atmosphere and friendly welcome create exactly the kind of traditional English country inn experience we love. The dinner was absolutely delicious — beautifully cooked, generous and full of flavour, with the emphasis on good, home cooked food. Breakfast was equally wonderful and the perfect start to the day.

Amazing cuisine all home cooked great views great customer service visited with friends will definitely go back such a warm welcome. Great village pleasant walks. Great choice of menu and also offered breakfast. We went with another couple and also took our puppy Rubi who loved all the attention

It was Pizza night and we were not disappointed. Gorgeous pizza with a gorgeous view!! Would totally recommend.

A very warm welcoming stay with such kind, friendly hosts. Room comfortable and clean. Evening menu was small but varied, with some childrens options on request. Cooked breakfast fabulous! Wonderful service throughout such a lovely place.

We had two really lovely meals at this beautiful cosy put. The food is delicious and home made and the staff are so lovely and friendly. Loi went out of her way to make us feel so incredibly welcome and on our second visit it was my birthday, and she really went out of her way to help make my day feel incredibly special. The Holly Bush is a fantastic country inn with a friendly atmosphere and amazing food. We have stayed here several times and never been disappointed. Our room was beautifully decorated and spacious, food delicious and wine extremely reasonably priced. The staff could not be more helpful and made us feel really welcome. Our dog loves it here too. Overall a beautiful friendly place to stay in a stunning part of the world
