Very clean bedroom, easy check in with staff who was in charge of the pub. Hearty breakfast at just £10 was great!

We verbleven hier op onze terugreis na een vakantie in Schotland. We hebben heerlijk kunnen eten en slapen na een lange autorit. De pub is klein maar gezellig met locals en toeristen door elkaar. De kamers kunnen een beetje TLC gebruiken, maar bed en douche zijn prima, dat is het belangrijkste wat ons betreft. Je mag ook overal komen met honden, wat voor ons handig was omdat we met onze 2 Cockers reizen. De eigenaren zijn heel vriendelijk en zelf ook gek op honden en dat merk je.

The pub is a real country pub with a roaring fire which was appreciated as it was freezing outside The staff were very amiable and couldn't do enough for us. The room was nice and comfortable and the food was very nice. We had the Border breakfast which was delicious. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others if they like good old fashioned country fayre

Just the very best friendly of places. Lime being is someone's home. Fabulous food drink selection second to none and a team of staff so happy to please. Beds so comfy bathrooms immaculate. Lovely beer garden with views to due for , this was my first visit. I certainly will return .

We had a lovely stay at The Holly Bush Inn on New Years Eve. A warm welcome from the friendly staff set the tone for the whole of our stay. Our room was a small double located at the front of the property. I t was really cute and had everything needed for a comfortable stay, including quality toiletries. We enjoyed the best cooked breakfast with quality products well cooked. I would recommend a stay here to anyone wanting to explore Northumberland.

What an amazing find. We received a really warm welcome at this lovely country pub. They immediately offered an upgrade and we had a beautiful room which was lovely and warm despite it being December. They were unable to offer evening meal but offered suggestions on where to go including the offer of eating a takeaway in the restaurant. Fabulous breakfast all freshly made with local ingredients. Can’t recommend it enough

The room was clean and pleasant enough. However the bathroom was a bit tired. Breakfast was excellent. We couldn’t get into the room until 16:00 which is getting a bit late for a cold November afternoon. We were putting our bikes in the shed when it was getting dark. Evening meals are well made and good quality food. You do need to book a table in the restaurant area at weekends and summer time. The staff were friendly and the bar is a proper one room country pub atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here on a Friday night as we were visiting the observatory. Great spot, warm and welcoming. Breakfast the next morning was great too, friendly staff and good food. Unfortunately food was unavailable in the evening but they gave some recommendations nearby which were fantastic. Would definitely stay again!

We as a family had a number of rooms booked for our family wedding near by. Very easy check in, comfortable, immaculate rooms. Food was Excellent, staff welcoming and attentive. We were lucky the night we stayed to have local entertainment which was great. Would highly recommend staying.

The Holly Bush Inn is an absolutely amazing pub! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who make you feel right at home. The food is always warm, fresh, and absolutely delicious you can really taste the care that goes into every dish. The drinks selection is fantastic too, with something for everyone to enjoy. It’s the perfect place to relax, eat well, and have a great time. Highly recommend! 🍻🍴✨

Stayed here when cycling in the area, staying in the small room overlooking beautiful Northumberland. It was nice to be able to store my bike securely overnight. There was a good selection of food on offer, and what I ate was delicious. Good beer selection as well! Would stay again if passing through! :)

We stayed at the HollyBush as we were working near by. We had a wonderful stay, the Manager and team were so hospitable, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with plenty of hot water. We kitchen isn't open every night, but the suggested and booked somewhere else for us to eat. When the kitchen is open, I would definitely recommend - lovely food, big portions and you have to have the chocolate pudding - never had anything like it! Thanks to the Holly Bush team for making us so welcome.

Comfortable beds, great food and friendly hosts so recommended for a "off the beaten track" retreat in a beautiful location. One thing to be aware of is that breakfast is not served before 0900hrs on Saturdays and Sundays so if leaving early, do bear that in mind.

What a fantastic place. An old drovers inn and what pubs used to be like before they were sanitised Excellent cask ales on tap, i.e., First and Last Equinox, Hadrians Graingers, Born Blonde... The beers are very well kept, and the owner knows his stuff. A very comfy single room (Redheugh), great breakfast, very friendly staff and locals. What's not to like? 10/10
