Handy place on main road. Road traffic not to bad. Had everything we need. The parking out front a little tight (only cause of the sign) but okay.

Superb place to stay. The room was so much better than expected. You can tell the owners take pride in cleanliness and presentation. It was immaculate. The location is incredible. Literally across the road from the water. We were able to take our two small dogs too which was perfect…we only went because of their pet friendly policy. We got a warm and friendly welcome from Jill. Her son was great when we checked out too. We will DEFINITELY be coming back to stay here again.

We were put in the 'granny flat' at the back, not the newer units at the front. The germ-killing dispenser in the reception didn't work & the dispenser on the sink didn't have a label on it, so we didn't know what it was. It was hard getting our bags up the steps to the flat & when we needed to get some breakfast in the morning, it was hard moving the car out where we were told to park as we were tucked into a corner. Beautiful park view out the back, though.

This was a great place to stay, just outside the town, which was a short easy drive to get to. We only had one night here, but could have stayed longer. The washing machine and dryer was all free and they also provided powder, although we had brought our own with us. When we were there the plums on the tree had just ripened and we were allowed to take some, which was really nice. Close to Huka Falls and Aratiiatia Rapids, that releases water a few times a day and a real must to see. Also close by is Otumuheke stream, which is a free hot pool in the river, absolutely brilliant.
