Where do I begin? The suites are in small villas, split in two, dotted about the premises. Looking at the photos you'd think you were in for a treat. Think again! Lighting? Yes there were lights in my suite - but not many. And they were all very dim. Not a good start. Heat pump? Yes there was a heat pump. The smallest money can buy, and even cranked up, it barely kept the lounge area warm. There was an additional small panel heater in the bedroom. Shower? Yes, but so bad! No pressure and mine had a faulty mixer. The worst shower experience I've had in years. I got out colder than when I hopped in. TV? Yes. The smallest flat-screen available. A good experience? Definitely not. Appalling. Not when I paid over $170 for the night. NOTE The owner is Chinese and lives in China. The one employee working the day I visited told me she had only been in NZ for a week. Her role was manager, receptionist and cleaner. I felt sorry for her. She didn't even have sufficient training to know how to print me a GST receipt. My advice? Book elsewhere. You have been warned.

Save your money. Our unit looked like it was built and decorated in the 60’s and still has everything from day one. Plates, cups, and cutlery was all mismatched. Mattress was soft. Nobody at the reception when we arrived or drove past. You are given phone number to call if you have any questions or problems! These units need a major overhaul.

There is nothing on the website to show that the studio room has an adjoining door to another one. It sounds like the people next door were in our room. Non stop coughing from the whole group who obviously have COVID - and we are basically in the same room with a door separating us. I am writing this review at 11:30pm and seriously considering getting back in my car and driving home. Trying to see if there is an option for a zero rating which there isn’t so I guess 1 will do.

Not value for money. Extra "taxes" added to listed prices. Our unit had loose door handles, bulbs in bathroom blown, heat lamp bulb not working, cobwebs around ceilings. Some steps to units need attention, a safety concern.

I stayed for 2 nights in June 2022 in a one bed studio. No one else was staying in the adjoining villa so it was very peaceful. It suited my needs as I was only there at night. My studio was just like the photos, clean, there were extra bedcovers (which came in handy), and it had the usual amenities. There was a microwave and small fridge, crockery, basic utensils and jug. However, there was no kitchen sink, I had to use the bathroom sink to wash my plate and utensils. There was also no desk/small table and as others have said, the TV is tiny. The wi-fi seemed to go in and out at times but for the most part, worked fine. The hot water in the shower took a long time to heat up, but once it was heated, it was lovely. The pressure was so-so but it did its job. I arrived at night and finding it was difficult because Google Maps has it on the left side of The Blvd (off Huka Falls Road), when it fact it was about 80 metres further up and on the right side. Due to the current subdivision construction going on, the driveway is a makeshift one off The Blvd and the sign can barely be seen (at night anyway), so I spent a good 15 minutes driving around before I finally found the entrance. Compounding the problem was that the reception closes earlier in winter so my phone calls were not answered. Once all the subdivision work is done, or if you arrive during the day, it should be much easier to find. Having said that, when I walked into the studio the heat pump was on and it was so warm and cosy, that my frustration about finding the place melted away. Overall, I had a good stay, the studio met my needs and it was cheap

It was not made clear that there was an adjoining door between our room and the rest of the suite. When the guests who were staying in the rest of the suite arrived it was very noisy. As if they were in the same room. They we’re drinking and arguing till around midnight then all occupants coughed all night. Obviously unwell and most likely with COVID. It was a terrible environment for me daughter. I wouldn’t have booked if I knew it was not a stand alone room.

Nice clean little unit good for overnight stay. Getting a little tired now but still good.

This place is run down and absolutely terrible. Arrived around 5pm and nobody at reception, all of the rooms keys were taped to the front door in envelope’s. Got to our villa #13 and when we opened the oven door, there was an oven dish with mouldy mushrooms in it, and the oven was disgusting, obviously hadn’t been cleaned in a month or 2. Bathroom had 1 heat lamp missing in the fitting and the shower curtain was missing half of the hangers. The taps were obviously leaking as they were siliconed all around the base of taps and we got a few hair clips that were left on the window from previous tenants. The toilet only flushed properly if you pressed the button a certain way. The lounge chairs are very worn and have tears in them. This place is promoted as a resort but it is far from it. Will never stay here again and hope everyone doesn’t get fooled by the photos.

Cheap and basic. Not the best accommodation if you’re in town for business. Had a small suite adjoining a unit. Really noisey from Unit next door. No sound barrier between walls. Was hoping for a double bed but instead had two singles. Won’t stay there again.
