As we have found on all our previous visits, staff were friendly and food was good Visited the main restaurant (usually have pub meals after a walk) as this was for a birthday celebration. The main was interesting & varied to suit most palettes. Only negative was trying to book. Used their online system, as the recorded tel message asks. We were unsure if our booking had been accepted, so rang to check. Only answer phone, so requested a confirmation call back. Nothing received. When we arrived, no record of our booking. Fortunately, as it was mid-week, there were free tables

This stay has topped all the stays we've had in Andover, The rooms are all top quality, the staff are very nice and look after you. The quality of the amenities in the room are all great nothing feels budget about this place. The surroundings is a bonus to your stay the outdoor fire place seating area is also really nice. Will defiantly be going back. if you do book this place ask for a hot chocolate you'll love it. Dinner was good too.

We stayed here recently for a Valentines break and chose this place for it's close location to Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey) where we have a great tour of the house and afternoon tea. The Jack Russell Inn is a wonderfully, peaceful atmospheric inn, with fantastic, locally produced food. Everything about this place shouts quality, attention to detail yet relaxing and friendly.

We stayed at the lovely Jack Russell Inn and dined here. It truly is one of the most charming country pubs with lovely walks around the area. The food was definitely better than some fine dining restaurants I have been too and the rooms are cozy and beautiful! Definitely would stay again!

Really we would not find any fault at all with the service, meal or accomodation. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary and had 18 including a number of young children and some with dietary requirements. The staff could not have been more helpful and the food was delicious.

We stayed for one night as a birthday treat for a visit to Highclere Castle. Beautiful setting, lovely clean room with beautiful décor. Evening dinner in the restaurant was excellent with a good range of options, breakfast was also first rate. Services from all the staff we encountered was exceptional. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent place for a special stay or meal. It is pricey but worth it.

Lovely, lovely place to stay over. In the middle of nowhere, with beautiful views over the countryside, a deer park, and a duck pond. Plenty of car parking space, beautifully decorated bedrooms, comfiest beds, and the food was unusual and so so tasty. We had spent the day visiting Highclere Castle, and this was just the perfect way for finish off. And it has to be said that the breakfast was one of the best we have ever had - with really tasty bacon and sausages. Thank you!!
