Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The two bedroom suite is very spacious and newly renovated. Breakfast is great especially the waffles each morning. We will definitely stay here again when traveling thru the Texarkana area.

a) I specifically did a mobile check-in for needing the room at 11 am on 29th Jun 2024. The mobile system confirmed my check-in and post that I never got any other intimation or rejection. But, to my utter shock, I was met with an absolutely unfriendly staff – her very first reaction was NOT to welcome or greet me but rather looking at me with a disbelief/question, and I said Check In, and her next-second response was sorry, only 3 pm.. Is this how you will firstly treat a guest. And I do have status, and I am coming with family b) After a brief unpleasant wait, I was told that I will be given a call. The next 45 mnts I was hanging around in that scorching sun. c) The toilet door hardly closes. Has no one ever complained about it. How could I use such a toiler with family, and with young children. This is ridiculous d) 90% of the times, when we exit and enter hour room, I constantly have to start at an unsightly ‘plunger’ that is kept right near my entrance. e) Breakfast spread was terrible. Not even bread. And practically no option for vegetarians. A highly run-down spread. f) Entire property had a strong smell about it. g) No office space or printing capability h) We were running around, back and forth, room to front office to housekeeper multiple times, to just get fresh bath towels. When I ask front desk, I almost got shooed away with ‘you should ask your housekeeper” – I have also stayed in multiple Marriott hotels, and its perfectly fine to ask Front office. And why are your staff always so unfriendly, rude and abrupt. Is this the guest relations you have in this property. Heights of insensitivity. When I ask housekeeper, she goes “I don’t have any” – come on, is this an acceptable reply. I finally got it only in the night (Sunday night). Overall, this was one of the most pathetic stays I ever had in any Marriott property

Rooms were nice but the service in the breakfast area was horrible. The fork container was empty, so we asked for forks the attendant ignored us, then asking again she went to get them and upon returning placed them in the service area. We asked her for a fork and she just pointed to the container. By that time(at least10 minutes) our food was cold. She never made eye contact or any attempt to help. Her name was Aquila. Marriott definitely needs to provide more training and upgrade their customer service. Find a different hotel if you want decent service!

This is an awesome property, it is currently under renovations, but you would never know it, Nice and quiet with little to no construction noise at all. The rooms are suites with kitchenettes and are so nice to have when staying for a couple of days. The staff at this property are so nice and always had a smile for the guests. I highly recommend this property for anyone staying in the Texarkana area.

For the $130 a night I expected so much more. I wouldn’t stay again. Bugs in the room. Mystery stains all over the place. Front desk personal was set up in a random room. I didn’t even check out breakfast as I was scared. But at least it didn’t have bed bugs…that I saw.

Absolutely the best staff I've seen in years. I'd like to give a special shout out to Margarita, Laquessa, Teniqua and Aqualla. These ladies gave us special attention...and especially to our 7 year old granddaughter. The hotel is undergoing rennovations, but the staff MORE than made up for it! Please pass along my gratitude!

This had to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It should be categorized as a motel six or Econo Lodge. This place should be shut down while they are renovating. I understand it is under construction, but this was not due to the construction work or dust at all! This place was absolutely disgusting! The walls were filthy. Every corner of every room had piles of dirt, dust and grime. All around the tub was mold. The bathroom mirror hadn’t been cleaned. There was splatters from toothbrushes, etc. on the mirror there was mold, growing on the side table beside the bed. The carpets were disgustingly dirty the toilet paper holder looked like it had never been cleaned as well. The doors were filthy. The fridge was grungy and dirty on the doors. We did not even shower due to the fact, the tub was so disgusting. The shower curtain was moldy. I don’t advise anyone to stay there in the health department should be advised and it needs to be reported! I think they should just shut the whole thing down, until the remodel is complete and then re-open. I can honestly say, I believe the towels in the bathroom were probably the only thing that looked clean in the entire room! The sink and countertop in the bathroom had dried toothpaste on it. There was toothpaste, dried, running down the side of the cabinet. The doors were dusty, had not been cleaned. This entire room has not been cleaned for years and has never been deep cleaned!! Turn around and go somewhere else!

I slept on the floor for 2 nights. I was advised my room had a bed and a sofa bed. When we got to our room we were told the hotel was full for that night. I was told they would try to work something out. The chair had dog poo behind it when I did move it. It was had so much animal fur on it that we had to use a sheet to cover it during out stay. The floors were dirty in the kitchen area and then bathrooms. I spoke with 3 people at front desk during my stay and no one ever changed our room or compensated for me sleeping on the floor.

Health Dept should check cleanliness of breakfast bar,… lobby had trail of trash, door to trash room open near front desk- greeting guests. Nighttime clerk parked in fire lane all night. Dishes in kitchenette filthy.

We travel full time and stay at many different Marriott properties. We chose this property because we travel with 2 dogs and need a place that accommodates dogs. We’ve stayed at many Town Place Suites and this by far was the worst-broken doors on the cabinets, dirty kitchen/stove top buttons we caked with old food/dirty refrigerator, bathroom door that didn’t close and shower curtain with mildew all over. The curtains were ripped and hanging off the rods. Absolutely no pride in keeping this place presentable. Staff was polite but very complacent and only there to do the job. Poor customer service.

I don't what to sell this place short, it was clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable. It's just a little worn out like it needs a little bit of an upgrade. The staff was in training when I checked in but the manager was there to help out.

For over a decade we only stay in Marriots when we are on vacation, and I expect a Marriot standard. When getting to our room it smelled horribly of cigarette smoke and my husband had to put his shoulder into the door just to get it open. The window was open and there were ashes on the window sil and ac unit. I asked to be moved to a different room. The girl at the front desk is amazing and needs to be moved to a better hotel and get a pay raise. None of this is her fault and does not need to take the brunt of the complaints for the poor management and housekeeping. It took 45 minutes to be moved to a different room after she gave up on her manager. We originally asked for a refund and to leave, but she said we would be charged the full amount due to Marriot would not allow a cancelation for a smoke free room. When we called the Marriot customer service they blamed it on the hotel and that they are only the brand and hotels are owned privately. Basically each the hotel and the customer service blamed it on each other without giving us an option to leave. The hotline made it clear that all marriots were privatly owned and could do whatever they wanted. Thus allowing a double standard. We were moved into a suite, and unfortunately things did not improve. I will say the girl at the front desk said that the room was outdated and being redecorated soon. I had that in mind when we went to the suite. The furniture was out of date, but that wasn't what stood out. The room was filthy and post covid you would think housekeeping would have improved. This hotel is definitely not following safety protocols and with this being my third Marriot hotel we have stayed at on this vacation, this is the only one of the three that could not meet a standard. Here is a list of my issues. 1. Dirty soap holder in the bathroom 2. Mirror in bathroom has toothpaste marks and water spots 3. Sink has hair and is dirty inside 4. Toilet was dirty and no toilet paper 5. Floors and baseboards are dirty and have kitty litter in the corners 6. Windows have something on the inside streaked. Curtains have stains. 7. Pillowcase dirty 8. Cup rings on tables 9. Room key left that isn't ours 10. White spots on couch 11. Rips in sheets 12. Chocolate or poop on the sheets 13. No bed skirt on one bed 14. Stains on ceiling 15. Garbage disposal and stove dirty 16. Trash behind bedroom doors
