火山村莊旅館(Volcano Village Lodge)

This rain forest getaway is everything you need for rest, relaxation, and tranquility. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Hawaii Volcano National park as it’s just a short 10 minutes outside the main park entrance. The morning breakfast delivered to the rooms is outstanding and the Banana Mac nut pancakes are to die for. Definitely going back again some day.

We were blown away with the hospitality of the Volcano Village Lodge. We stayed in the Haleakala room. It was setup beautiful and right in the middle of the rain forest. We had complete privacy and we opened the windows to hear the frogs and crickets sing at night. It was absolutely fantastic. We also purchased a couple of the sandwiches and other add-on packages they offer as we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary on the trip. Our 11 year old daughter stayed with us as well, and we all had an amazing time. We stayed in Sheraton Resorts in Maui and the Westin north of Kona, but our favorite hotel was the night we stayed at the Volcano Village Lodge. An absolute gem! The bathroom even had towel warmers. We were blown away. If you are looking to stay near the Volcano National Park, this is the place to stay!

We stayed two nights in the Mauna Loa while visiting the Big Island. We selected Volcano Village Lodge based on its excellent reviews and proximity to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. It was a fantastic experience! The Mauna Loa was spacious and very comfortable, and had everything we needed to feel at home. The breakfasts were delicious and the Kona coffee was so amazing that we had four packages of it shipped home! John and his staff were so friendly and responsive. We plan to stay at Volcano Village Lodge again on future visits to the Big Island. Highly recommended!

Staying at Volcano Village Lodge was a great experience. We stayed in the Mauna Kea Lodge and it was as beautiful as the pictures. Lisa and her staff were very attentive and always checking to see if we needed anything. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The bed was super comfortable. If you are looking for a place to take a restorative break, you won’t be disappointed! The lodges are close enough to Volcano National Park to make it easy to go back and forth between the two places in the same day. We did a hike at VNP and returned to our lodge for a light dinner and rest then returned to the park for nighttime photography of the eruption and Milky Way. Spectacular!!

We loved everything about our stay at Volcano Village Lodge! From the most comfortable pillows and bed that we’ve ever slept on, the tranquil rainforest surroundings that made us feel like we were the only guests at the lodge, the delicious breakfasts and the best hospitality we’ve ever experienced while traveling. It was hard to leave this place and we really loved our time in Volcanos, HI. Thank you so much John to you and your staff!!!

Amazingly Peaceful and Beautiful. I would highly recommend. Their is so much to see and do. The restaurants were delicious. The stores and exhibits were beautiful. Always a great selection. Workers were so kind too

The heater did not work in our room. One bed was too cold to sleep in. The other one had electric heating pads. We put a beach towel from their spa on the ground in our bathroom after use. It was hung up on a hook the second day. Coffee wasn't restocked on the second day. Check-in was also unpleasant, but another innkeeper made up for it. Wi-Fi was barely working as they advertised. Overall - does not worth $700 per night. I heard they might have changed owners. Someone who had lived here in 2018 told me the owners at the time were an elder couple from SF who went back for better retirement life (better hospitals in SF). Not sure if that's the case. I did not get to meet their lead innkeeper or owner.

Excellent property to visit if you wish to visit the Volcanoes in the area. Stayed in the Mauna Loa, Lisa was amazing and so was our stay.
