老學校之家(Old School House)

Having stayed here last year we just had to come again. This time we came with my sister and her husband. They brought both their small dogs. My sister and her husband both fell in love with the house and the wonderful warm welcome from our hosts. Although the weather wasn't the best we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. As before the breakfast was really good and again I had poached egg with my breakfast. I thanked the chickens who provided the eggs as it would be rude not to. The rooms are lovely, exceptionally clean and comfortable and the breakfast room is so light and airy even on a dull day. The refreshments provided in the rooms are really good with a great selection of teas and coffees. Fresh milk is provided in a flask so it stays nice and cold. There are also biscuits and small snacks. It was lovely to see a couple who stayed at the same time as us last year. They, like us, really love staying here. We will be coming again and again as we love it so much.

What a wonderful place to stay. Diane and Andy are the greatest hosts and will do anything for you to make you stay special. Have been several times and will definitely be going back. Even the chickens are friendly and come and say hello :-). Great addition with the games although Skip Bo very addictive and we will have to buy ! Would recommend The Swan at Hilborough for great food nearby. Look forward to our next visit to The Old School House

If I could give this place more than 5* I would! I wanted a winter break somewhere nice idyllic and in the country and Old School House ticked every box and more. I initially was worried about having a break during the winter time in the U.K. but it was the best winter break I have had. Diane and Andy are absolutely amazing, they’re warm & friendly and nothing is too much bother for them. The room I stayed in was spacious, impeccably clean and extremely comfortable. There was a TV which you could log into your Netflix which was perfect for me as I was half way through a series at home! The bathroom is beautifully designed and I had absolutely no issues with the room. Especially with it being so cold outside it was so warm and toasty everywhere I went here! Breakfast is fresh and amazing quality, far better than any hotel I have stayed in. Staying here has really upped my standards in what I look for when staying somewhere because my entire stay here I could not fault one thing at all. Will definitely be back in the summer, but for anyone wondering whether you should visit for winter - do it! Thanks again and I can’t wait to be back.

I stayed here with my sister in law for a few days with our dogs. Diane and Andy were fantastic hosts, friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The location is idyllic and a great base for sightseeing the whole of Norfolk, from Kings Lynn and Wells next the Sea, right down to California. The Old School House is a picture perfect place and the rooms are spotless, most beautifully decorated and furnished. As I said, nothing was too much trouble, (we did test this theory having the dogs with us!) and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I highly recommend it.

We stayed in room number three for 3 nights. The room is large with double aspect windows and a lovely view of the gardens. It is very quiet. The linen and bed were extremely comfortable. The owners are friendly. The breakfast room is beautiful and there is a big variety of jams, sauces, condiments to choose from. The B&B was a little bit hard to find. There are some pubs nearby, but you need to reserve. The garden is well maintained with places to sit and relax.

Perfect accommodation for a stay in the area. Hosts go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible with lots of extra touches. Breakfast is excellent quality and cooked to order. Quiet peaceful location and walkable distance from a decent pub and Lynford Lakes and Arboretum. We came laden down with bikes, cheese and wine and Andy and Diane accommodated it all very gracefully.

Amazing find in the heart of Norfolk. Tucked down a country lane views over open fields. The hosts were fantastic, the room was lovely and the breakfast was just amazing. Will defo be our choice of place if in the area again.

What a fantastic place. From the moment we arrived, when Andy greeted us and helped with our luggage, to the moment we left it was superb. The room itself was very comfortable and the view was lovely, we slept very well. Just outside the room on the landing there was a great selection of coffees and books, magazines etc. Also a small selection of toiletries just in case you forget something. Outside was a lovely garden with a pond and waterfall containing some huge Koi carp. There was also chickens wandering around the garden, so, of course, fresh eggs for breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, there was a great selection of cereals, jams/honey etc to suit all tastes. The full English was very nice. The hosts Andy and Diane were really nice and friendly. Nothing was to much trouble. We will definitely be returning to this little gem.

A delightful B&B. We stayed for three nights and didn’t want to leave. On our arrival we were greeted by the Owner, chickens and a cat. Andy very kindly offered to take our bags for us and invited us in. We were taken to our room which was absolutely delightful and so tastefully decorated to a very high standard. Everything was so crisp and clean. We had dual view over the gardens and farmland. Refreshments were provided in our room and additional drinks and spare toiletries were available on the outside landing if required. The selection for breakfast was amazing. Cooked and served by Diane and Andy. Beautifully cooked and served onto the crisp white linen tablecloth on our table. Nothing was too much trouble for this lovely, hardworking couple. We will definitely be returning.
