This hotel is amazing. Each room we have stayed over time in was different in its own unique way and spacious. Extremely clean. All the litta extras in the room are a fantastic touch. The guy who was supposed to be in making breakfast couldnt come in that day, so 2 other employees took it on and were so pleasant. It was a great stay and will be back.

I have stayed here several times when passing through Thunder Bay and I really like this hotel. I appreciate the character of the building and the location is a short walk from restaurants, bars and the waterfront area. The hot breakfast options are limited to scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast but that suits me fine.

The staff is amaxing, the cleanliness is better then most hotels. The breakfast is until 11 and that is rare. I really liked that. The only thing I didn't like is that there was no recycling bins anywhere. I highly recommend the Courthouse Hotel.

Unfortunately, our stay at The Courthouse this time was poor. When we initially checked in, our room was 55 degrees. Turning up the heat at the highest it could go only brought it up to 60 after several hours. The staff were apologetic and moved us to another room, however due to the hotel being busy, it was in the basement. For two nights, the temperature in that room was great, but by the third night, it had dropped to 68 before we fell asleep, and we woke up to 61 degrees, making for a miserable morning. Again, the staff were quite respectful and apologetic, but explained that they have been having issues with the heating on and off. They did offer us a discount - I thought the staff had said 50% however I now see it was only a 15% discount. This seems really not reflective of the poor experience we had. I wish I had requested a refund on the first day and moved hotels. It is a real shame since the location of this hotel is very convenient and our last visit was lovely.

The rooms were spacious, high ceilings, nice windows, had good mattresses, modern bathrooms, large tv. The kids really liked it. The continental breakfast was simple but also the best I’ve had in years.

It is an incredible idea come to life. It’s much more beautiful inside than the pictures do justice. Calming lighting everywhere making it comfortable, and it’s easily accessible with a beautiful view of the water. Small breakfast area with good food and pleasant staff.

The Courthouse Hotel. What a hotel! I was shocked, but I had a King corner in the room. The shower and room room were quiet and safe, and the breakfast was excellent. The front desk staff, GREAT＞ Indra, the MGR, runs a superb hotel. The area around there can be rough...but this is a well-secured property. 5 out of 5 would stay again, easily!
