奧斯特利亞酒店(Hotel Austria)

Didn't know what to expect for our first hotel ever in Albania but must say that we were very satisfied. Large and very clean room with a comfy bed, marble and large bathroom with walk-inn rain shower with good water pressure and several amenities were supplied. No safe box nor coffee/tea making facilities but, since is not expensive to drink coffee outside we had no problem with that. Friendly staff at reception, smooth check inn. Quiet during the night. Breakfast was good, warm and cold items, cereals, yoghurt, fruits...no complaints here. Not so good : if you want your room to be cleaned/made up, you have to put a sign on the door handle outside your door. Strange, (or was this tactical ?) but there was no such sign available in our room. A 4* hotel should clean the room automatically every day. Location is great, 5 minutes walk from main square/opera. It was a good introduction to Albania.

La entrada es extraño, entras por una especie de callejón y por la cafetería, pero una ves dentro la cosa cambia. Amplias habitaciones el baño nuevo y la limpieza Expectacular, la decoración para gustos, personalmente un poco recargada , la ubicación excelente

Hotel centralissimo dal decoro un po’ demode’, stile anni ‘60, ma dalle camere silenziose e confortevoli, ottima base per un soggiorno in pieno centro senza i rumori del traffico caotico che blocca i boulevard a poche decine di metri di distanza.

Good location in the middle of Tirana. The hotel as such is nice but there are some drawbacks. The room was big and comfortable, the bathroom was also well equipped. I stayed for three nights and not once did the cleaner come by. A four star hotel should do better than that. There are safes in the rooms but the one in my room was not working. The breakfast is not very special, ok the bread is fresh and local yoghurt is offered. But the filter coffee served at the breakfast does not meet any standards. It is in fact a shame for the otherwise excellent coffee culture in Albania.

Excellent location within easy walking distance of the city center. Large clean rooms, a nice lobby, and a full feature bar are note worthy. The underground garage was important for our car as parking in this area is at a premium. The hotel rates are more than reasonable. In summary, a very good choice for a stay in Tirana.

Questa volta non sono rimasto soddisfatto della struttura: colazione misera e con poca scelta; Wi-Fi funzionante ad intermittenza ; l'addetta alla reception è stata poco collaborativa nel dialogo. Non penso di ritornarci , c è veramente di meglio a Tirana , con pagamenti inferiori

This hotel in very good location. Three young men work at front desk are extremely friendly and helpful. Room is good size, show is strong, safe box big. Wifi in room is weak and almost unusable most of the time. I had to run outside to buy sim card to use. cross street there is store selling 35G for $17. In lobby area wifi works fine. When check out, the two small bottle water in refrigerator are 3 euro. But no clear sign in room telling the water not free. I like this hotel very much. Will stay here in the future. If they can fix the wifi issue, this hotel would be perfect.

Pros: Large rooms Large bathrooms and showers Clean Centrally located: can walk to most major areas Friendly staff Cons: Smoke smoke and smoke. Had to wait mid day for a ride to the airport when guests were out for the day. It was staff members smoking. Pervasive smoking left the bar and lounge areas unusable for the most part Some rooms have a rather gaudy decorative style Rooms are on the dark side, could use more lighting. Housekeeping is random and unreliable. They may service your room, they may not

If you are a smoker then the rating for this hotel would be a 4 or maybe even a 5. However as a non-smoker entering the hotel is horrible. To get into the hotel you must enter through the hotel's popular smokey bar/cafe. The cigarette smoke is thick there and the next room you must pass through to reach reception. It even infiltrates into the reception area and even up on the second floor it could often be detected. Otherwise the room and the breakfast are fine and the employees provide good service. The WiFi was also okay. Our TV had the BBC, CNN, National Geographic, etc. However some other people said they were not available in their rooms and that the only English language station they could get was Al Jazeera. Note- there is no safe in the room.
