託卡努小屋汽車旅館(Tokaanu Lodge Motel)

Évidemment le lodge est "dans son jus" mais c'est aussi ce qui en fait son charme... Sinon nous avons été très bien accueillis et avons passé un vraiment bon moment à Tokaanu. L'accès au Whakapapa Village pour les randos du Tongariro National Park se fait en 35 minutes en voiture. Bon rapport qualité/prix.

Tokaanu public hot pools just a short walk away, plus the Lodge has its own hot pools. Turangi a very short drive away with supermarket and plenty of restaurants. Conveniently placed to visit Tongariro National Park. The manager was very understanding when we cut short our stay due to poor weather and only charged us for the days we were there. The room was clean and well fitted out, if a little dated in style.

Great location for exploring the rich resources this region has to offer- hot pools, skiing, hiking, fishing. Very family friendly with play equipment, on-site hot water and mineral pools and animals for young ones to enjoy. Very reasonably priced, clean, flexible accommodation options for families to enjoy.

Great location, enjoyed the pools. Shame the hesting makes the upstairs so hot and the lower floor freezing.

It was comfortable and clean, but the bathroom needs an upgrade. The hotpools were very disappointing, they are dark and dreary and definitely need to be upgraded.

Yes, decor is tired, but the place was clean, had 2 separate bedrooms, and the owners were just lovely.

Stayed here for 2 nights. The lodge was very disappointing. The cupboard doors were all battered, the curtains were missing hooks, there were random dirty patches on the walls and the patio furniture was broken. It needed new furniture and a coat of paint. The gutters were all blocked and dripping onto the decking. The town also seems to have seen better days. There are free thermal pools on site, but they felt dirty and tired. There seemed to be lots of workmen staying on the site and we had to argue with the residents of the next lodge as soon as we arrived as they blocked our car in with one of their vans and we needed to get away early in the morning. Our lodge was next to the main road which had a lot of noisy, fast moving traffic all night long. The lodge slept 6, and would have been very cheap for 6. For just 2 of us it was still quite expensive and not up to scratch. We have paid the same amount elsewhere for spotless modern lodges. We bought some crips from reception and then discovered after eating them that they expired 2 months ago! The biggest problem was the WiFi. We apparently had 2 GB of data each day for our 2 day stay. Our automatic photo backups had used all the data within 30 mins of arriving and we then had no more internet for the rest of our stay! Overall a disappointing stay.

We had just one night at the lodge. It was fine and suited our needs, though unfortunately their thermal pools were closed when we visited. That would have added a nice touch. Our cabin was roomy if somewhat dated, though it looked like some improvements had been made in recent years. Importantly, everything worked, including the wifi. Kitchen was well equipped. Was quite chilly in the cabin though and couldn't see much in the way of heating apparatus - I hate to think what it is like in mid-winter.
