My family had a stay from Ap 14-19th 2023. My 4 year old came down with a fever after on the 3rd day. There were no outward signs that this was due to Covid as there was no respiratory symptoms. We offered to do an Anitgen Rapid Test (which was negative) which the hotel declined. The hotel insisted that we have to go see a doctor or get an official test done by the Tokyo authorities and there was no indication from them as to when we would get the results for these tests. Multiple Managers on Duty stopped by to harass us about testing and told us that it was ”Official Policy” that they can no longer service the room. The day before we were leaving we were told to leave via the service entrance because of the same official policy. At this point I asked the Manager on Duty to see the ”Official Policy”. The Manger came back with the guest of code of conduct and a general hotel advisory on Covid that had no mention of current Covid protocol (following Tokyo reopening for Covid) and had nothing specific about not being able to service the room or having to use the back entrance. Having told us that they had an official policy it became clear that they were clearly making up the rules and lying to us. This was really atrocious service from the hotel Even despite raising the complaint to the hotel management after our trip, they have made no attempts to make it right to us for lying about their Official Policy.
