Booked a nights stay for our 26th wedding anniversary. I was severely disappointed with the hotel. The room was not worth the price I paid . The building is old and worn (not as advertised on their website) the room even though we got told was cleaned and ready for us, was not clean. My wife spent the first 30 minutes cleaning the kettle, cups, spoons, glasses and sink. She then went around taking photos of our room the dirt and the stains on the carpet and the rotten window frames. The bed was uncomfortable I would assume the mattress was several years old. After reading the hotels reviews we decided not to eat at the hotel. We did read the menu but the options were as outdated as the hotel. We felt swindled. When we complained to the hotel they said we could not complain to them as we booked through trip.com . They then said our room was an upgrade. God only knows what the original room was like.

Excellent service, quality facilities with a traditional feel. Wonderful location and friendly lounge area.

The hotel was below any expectations, very old rooms. Unfortunately the service at the breakfast was totally missing. The hotel needs some maintenance asap.

Last minute getaway and what a great place to stay

All in all it was so amazing weekend The only thing needed a refrigerator in the room otherwise everything was totally fine

Swimming pool facilities were closed and it was not clear prior to booking when that was the point of stay. The bedsheet was dirty with a stain on it. Location is great. Breakfast average and not many options for food especially those whom don’t eat certain meats.

A simply Devine hotel with such historical charm  The charismatic entrance foyer draws you into this wonderful exquisite reception area We had the upmost pleasure in staying on New Years Eve  & were greeted with a lovely glass of free champagne in letting the New year in  They also had a really good modern band playing the finest of music in one of their opulent rooms  We would grant this very fine hotel a definite 5 Stars experience  Many thanks

Hotel is great for location right next to the train station Hotel asks for any allergies but then disregards the allergy and gives you drinks with the item (strawberries )in not sure if it t was the manager of the restaurant room is dated but acceptable with a good view of the bay
