Just wanted to do a quick review as I think it totally deserves one. I was singing at Torbay Pride this weekend and the organisers had kindly booked my partner and I to stay at Garway Lodge. This has to be one of the best overnight places I’ve stayed. 10/10 for Steves hospitality 10/10 for thoughtful attention to detail 10/10 for cleanliness 10/10 for breakfast This guy is so lovely and thoughtful that you don’t need to look any further. What an amazing little gem this place is, it’s adorable. From the warm welcome from Steve when you check in to the moment you leave it’s feels like you’ve entered your best friend’s house. Everything feels like home the added little extras, such a personal touch by Steve it makes this a five star stay. The tea tray is out of this world and let’s not forget the homemade cake, buns and flapjack along side fresh flowers in your room (I do love fresh flowers) everything is in your room tv, hair dryer, iron, fan, dressing table and comfy bed. All on suite with an amazing cute bathroom with a walk in shower (power & rain shower) beautiful smelling toiletries, with little extras like lip balm and night cream, shoe shine and even a cute little first aid kit. Steve has thought of everything. Immaculately clean from top to bottom, such a joy to stay here. Had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was amazing so many options with a full English cooked to order and you guessed it that to was blooming lovely. Thinking of staying here, well think no more book now you won’t be disappointed I can assure you. Steve we will be back again and thank you so much for your unforgettable hospitality.

Outstanding level of accomodation thoughtfully presented and carefully provided. The Garway is a total gem! Stephen's attention to detail and consideration for guests is outstanding. The home cooked cake and extras were really appreciated. The cooked breakfast was suberb!

I am here at the moment with partner and little Shih Tzu, Ruby. Only our first night and We have already decided it is the best hotel we've ever stayed in. The thought that has gone into the customer service is amazing. Steve and Joseph are so welcoming and can't do enough to make the stay happy. I am taking photos of all the decor to repeat at home. A lovely little outside area to sit and chill. Lovely quaint dining area and a lovely lounge with a range of drinks to buy. The room had gorgeous cups and saucers, dressing gowns, slip ons, drinks in the fridge, a small box of goodies and also home made cake waiting for us. The breakfast was lovely, cooked by Joseph and Steve kept replenishing our drinks. Oh and one more thing; only a small dish with some of my favourite sweets in: Parma violets and fissers sweets and lolly. We've got a home made packed lunch and looking forward to our evening meal. We will def be back. Well we don't want to leave. Thanks Steve and Joseph. ❤️🫶

Steve and Jo were absolutely amazing ! They have catered for guests every needs. We cannot add any more to the already wonderful reviews……. except that Garway Lodge is ( for us ) the best place we have ever stayed in ! They deserve all their awards and more ! We have stayed here three times and I will say these guys have got everything spot on. The rooms are great with the lovely surprise of freshly baked cake and all the added extras as a lovely touch. The linen on the beds is gorgeous and beds are wonderful. The breakfast is amazing and plenty of choice. Three parking spaces on the driveway but additional parking in side roads. We won't stay anywhere else. Thank you Steve and Joe. X

Fantastic B&B with extremely friendly hosts. Stayed for three nights booked at short notice. Single room was kitted out with everything you’d need and more, bedroom fridge with fresh milk and cold bottled water and even some booze was a nice touch, let alone Border biscuits! Breakfast was a real treat with full English getting full marks but eggs Benedict was also spot on the money. It was also nice to hear many products locally sourced. Honesty bar in the lounge was a nice place to relax and chat with other guests.

I have just gotten back from one of the loveliest places I've ever been, Torquay, what a beautiful place and the place we stayed in, Garway B&B in Torquay, it was an absolute outstanding place, the room the service and the food WOW Thank you , if I'm ever that end, I'll for sure be staying there again. You both made us feel so welcome.

My recent stay at Garway Lodge was superb. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. The breakfast choices were brilliant, catering to all requirements. Steve and Joseph made the stay a very pleasant one, being helpful and making us feel very welcome. Looking forward to a return visit.

The hosts are excellent and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms were beautifully appointed, clean and smelt gorgeous. Loved the diffusers so much we had to buy some! Breakfast was plentiful, with a great variety available. It's about a 10-15 min walk to the town and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Great stay! Well definitely be back :)

We spent 2 nights at Garway Lodge & it could not have gone better. Joseph and Steve the proprietors gave us a warm and friendly welcome. Our room had everything we could wish for, & more. The rooms are very tastefully decorated & furnished to a high standard, to give a homely feel. Our room had a huge comfortable bed, very nice shower room en-suite, wardrobe and storage space. Everything is provided. Garway Lodge has a comfortable sitting room for guests to use, with smart tv, books. games, and self service bar for that nightcap in the evening. Breakfast provides cereals, fresh fruit, pastries, fruit juice, smoothies and of course plenty of toast, tea and coffee. Joseph cooks a full English that is simply outstanding. Vegetarian and vegan options are available plus other cooked options on the breakfast menu. Will we come back? Absolutely we will!

Such welcoming hosts, I used Garway as a weekly stopover when visiting a needy relative; I had a really comfortable, clean room which had been thoughtfully designed .The breakfasts were very tasty, with lots of choice ,catering for every dietary need. After experiencing other comparably priced venues, this was streets ahead !

My stay was a truly excellent experience. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was absolutely first class. My single room had everything you'd need, breakfasts were a delight, great coffee, great choices. What a fantastic way to start your day. I recommend Garway - everybody needs an experience like this from time to time and Garway is the right choice.

Well what can I say absolutely brilliant hosts, Steve, Joseph and of course Mr Bear. Their attention to detail is unbelievable, they have literally thought of everything. They can't do enough for you and you can tell it's genuine. Me and my friend went round the room amazed at all the little things that they have in each room. Not just towels but bath robes,quality ones too. There's loads of room for storage including a fridge with milk and bottled water. I have already booked to come back next year with my mum for her 70th birthday. Oh and they feed you cake lots of cake. I honestly can't recommend this place enough. Thank you guys for making our stay feel so special. You definitely spoilt us. See you next year xx
