涼亭之家餐廳客房酒店(The Bower House, Restaurant & Rooms)

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! The pictures don't do it justice, we were lucky enough to stay in room 4 (blue room) no expense spared with anything, every last detail was thought of. The room and bathroom was massive, the bath and bed were the best ever! Honestly cannot recommend enough, just gutted downstairs was closed, good excuse to go back again!

The Bower House Restaurant and Rooms is in an ideal position on the Main Street of Shipston on Stour. Our room was large, comfortable and decorated with style. The en-suite was equally large with a perfect walk in shower and separate bath. An amazing place to stay ~ it would have been better if there were someone there to meet us and ~ had I realised that the restaurant was closed from Sunday evening until Wednesday morning. Disappointingly, this was the length of our visit and so we only sampled the food at breakfast as we were leaving. Luckily, the high street had other places we could eat in. We regret not having the opportunity to enjoy the restaurant’s evening offerings.

This was truly one of the most beautiful rooms I’ve every stayed at. I wasn’t expecting too much since the Bower House only has a few rooms over the bar/restaurant but we figured the location would suit us for exploring the Cotswolds. The room was exceptional in every way. The bathrooms (there were two…one with the toilet and tub and the other with the shower) were gorgeous with dark marble and beautiful wallpapers. The bedroom was down a couple of stairs and had a huge bed, a small bar area, casement windows, and,again, sumptuous textiles and wallpaper. I would like to hire the person who decorated these rooms to do my house! We stayed in #3, by the way. The breakfasts were excellent but we were there over a weekend and unfortunately missed having lunches and dinners there because the restaurant is closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday except for breakfast. Other than that, it was perfect!

Entrance into the bar area, which is very open and social when filled with customers. Then up a few steps to the restaurant/dining area. Rooms not accessible from within. Service was friendly, attentive and efficient. Food: Ordered a starter each, shared their 1kg fish £58 which came with sides and a rhubarb dessert each. Expect to budget/pay a bit more £££ when in the Cotswolds. Just because it costs more doesn’t necessarily mean it’s better. IMO all edible but underwhelming and therefore overpriced -1*. Located across from the co-op, looking out, Shipston-on-Stour on a Saturday evening appears to be quite happening.

A lovely, well appointed room with lots of nice touches such as cookies, fruit and a very good mini bar. The bathroom was huge with a roomy shower and high quality products supplied. Breakfast is really very good with loads of choice and our evening meal was superb. Free parking is available on street although we parked in the Bridge St car park just down the road. Would definitely stay again.

This place was amazing! One of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in! Kids had their own separate room with bunk beds which they loved. The main bedroom was stunning with a fabulous bed and facilities. The bathroom had a massive bath which filled in minutes. The separate shower room was fantastic. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Great room, amazing food and wonderful staff. Had a great a**osphere.

Really lovely hotel. Perfect decor, huge bathroom - felt like a treat! Nice touches of fruit and biscuits on arrival, and still and sparkling water. Very polite staff. It’s quite noisy outside as the hotel sits in front of a small parking area and ***** of shops, so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Floors are quite creaky but that sort of adds to the ambiance if you don’t mind it. Doors are a little hard to lock and are quite heavy. We were in a room next to the staff cleaning cupboard (I think) so from quite early could hear them coming in and out of it. Food very nice in the restaurant downstairs. Overall, a lovely place to stay and will definitely return.

A real find- beautiful comfortable rooms, great amenities, great shower and terrific value. Will return
