"I had the pleasure of spending five marvellous days at this hotel, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. It’s a brand-new hotel from the Ananea chain and everything feels fresh and thoughtfully designed. The swimming pool was only completed this year, a great place to relax with 2 jacuzzi. The cleanliness, service and kindness of the staff are truly excellent. However, the real highlight is the restaurant. The food is outstanding and you have the option of choosing half board. Alternatively, if you're staying at the hotel but prefer to eat “à la carte”, you get a 15% discount. If you have any issue, doubt or advice to ask, do not hesitate to contact the hotel director, Maria Grazia. With her enthusiasm and dynamism, she attentively listens to guests' requests. It is a pleasure to talk with her. You have 5 free shuttles going to the private beach and to the centre of Tropea. Do not forget to book them in advance. I would suggest to add some more shuttle buses, especially to cover the evenings."

"We had the most wonderful time staying at Rocca della Sena. The view from the terrace was incredible and was such a lovely place to be able to sit during sunset. Breakfast was very good and there were lots of options to choose from, including fresh nduja which is local to the area. The staff were probably the best part of the stay, though. They were so kind and generous with their time, always asking if they could provide recommendations for dinner or activities in the area, and made us feel so welcome. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tropea. We honestly have no negative feedback to provide!"

We see the going rate is around$400 with a special deal for a suite, while we have the worst room in the hotel with no view, no balcony, or any other notable feature. Perhaps our room is so bad because we used the chase/expedia portal. Make sure you know exactly what you are getting beforehand to avoid disappointment."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Don Carlo, a charming hotel right in the heart of Tropea. The cozy atmosphere, warm hospitality, and beautiful setting make it the perfect home base. Karina is the sweetest, most genuine person. It’s very evident that she puts her heart and soul into everything she does. Do not sleep on her restaurant recommendations. Everywhere we went was on her list and every meal was incredible. I am so grateful for this comfortable and authentic place that truly feels like a home away from home. It is the only place I would stay when I return to Tropea."
