A remarkable experience in every sense and a very cool alternative take on the Kenyan safari. Loved the location near the Chyulu Hills in Tsavo West National Park — so many different ecosystems to explore. To combine the traditional game drive (on road, low impact) with experiences that involved the vehicle behind for hikes through cloud forests and around volcanic craters — such a cool opportunity. The atmosphere was all about modern comfort while also feeling fully of a place. The rooms were beautiful and well appointed, loved the bath tub and outdoor shower, the separate wardrobes, dual sink, maxi-bar, privacy... and our view of the pond and birds was unbeatable. Rooms were of course clean, somehow free of creepy crawlies, peaceful (if you find exotic boisterous wildlife noises peaceful, which we definitely did). The service was incredibly attentive but not overbearing — so personal in a wonderful way.

If we could give you more than 5 stars - we would! What a truly magical experience at Finch Hattons. There were 27 of us - children and adults, but each and every one of us loved our stay. From the incredible service, food, experiences, accommodation, game drives, hill walks and visit to the Maasai Village - wow! All of the team work incredibly hard but a few mentions to some of those we met during our stay: Isaac - the children loved him, from the activities he planned, the football and table tennis he played, to his incredible game drives and Maasai Village Trip. Victor for his attentiveness around the pool. Joseph, Julius and all of the restaurant staff for their patience and hard work every mealtime. Jonathan and Moses for their planning and execution of the whole trip. Every bit of this trip has been truly memorable and we are so thankful to the Finch Hattons team for this special holiday.

Everything about this camp was amazing. The location, the staff, the food, and the wellness facilities were all incredible. We really like to move when on holidays, so we did not want to do a safari that involved doing game drives all day long. Finch Hatton provided yoga classes every day, and a gym with treadmill, bike and weights. We also did two different guided hikes nearby, which were beautiful. We can't wait to go back!!

Angefangen von dem luxuriösen, toll gelegenen Zelt mit wunderbarem Außenbereich, den perfekten Service, das zuvorkommende und sehr freundlichem Personal, konnten wir jeden Augenblick mehr als genießen. die Gamedrives waren wunderschön mit Elefanten, Löwen und vielen anderen Tieren…beim nàchsten Kenia Urlaub steht Finch Hattons an oberster Priorität!!! Danke für die wunderschöne Zeit und den Aufenthalt bei euch!

Exceptional, truly magical. We were greeted and treated like royalty from start to finish. Hats off to Julius for exceptional service; to Jeremy for his knowledgable game drives and efforts to spot the leopard and to Jonathan the manager for going above and beyond. Esma and I had an unforgettable experience and we will be back.

We enjoyed an amazing family holiday at Finch Hattons in Aug 2025 - everything was pretty much perfect from the moment we checked in to when we sadly had to depart. We were met of the airstrip by our driver, Evans and immediately enjoyed our first game drive back to the camp and shown to our amazing Family Tented suite on arrival which offered truly luxury accommodation and met our expectations in every way - the room and laundry service offered (including cleaning of footwear!) was truly outstanding throughout our stay. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner were all exceptional - the food and drink was and fantastic and the service first class. Throughout our stay we were superbly looked after by Brian, our head waiter who was exceptionally attentive and offered us first class and super friendly service with every meal. As mentioned the food itself was superb - we were also treated to a variety of dining experiences and different settings throughout our stay - which made it even more special - and enjoyed FH's resident music maestro every evening during Dinner, before being walked back to our luxury suite. William made sure we were happy and looked after at all times during our stay and helped pull together a packed bespoke itinerary for us to make the most of our 2 x daily game drives. Evans looked after us superbly every day during our drives and made every effort to track down the wildlife using his expert knowledge - with nothing too much trouble and always eager to take us on drives to fit in with our plans for the day. Again we could not have asked for me in terms of service, friendliness and flexibility. On a similar note whenever we took some time to relax by the pool, Victor looked after us fantastically well and was incredibly attentive in every way to make sure our time there was as relaxing and enjoyable as possible - with nothing too much trouble. Highlights of our stay and time at FH included a visit to the Big Tusk (Elephant) watering hole, visiting the truly unique lava flows, a hike up the local volcano, a Bush breakfast out on safari and a very special sundowner experience again in the bush and also on top of the viewing tower. Tracking the local lion pride, enjoying the variety of local wildlife and amazing landscapes, including fantastic views of Kilimanjaro were other highlights. We were just incredibly sad when it was time to head back to the airstrip to board our plane to leave for Nairobi. A truly amazing experience and in many ways we hope not a once in a lifetime experience - thank you to everyone at FH for looking after us so fantastically well and helping us to enjoy an amazing holiday. We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Finch Hattons Camp. Every member was super friendly, very accommodative to our needs and extra caring and friendly. Although we are vegetarians but the chef very creative with vegetarian dishes and we had some amazingly delicious food. The ambience of the camp and the vibes are unparalleled. Rooms are super clean and our house keeper was very efficient. A BIG thanks to everyone!! :-)

I was expecting a nice camp but Finch Hatton far exceeded my expectations! The service was impeccable and our room was absolutely spectacular. The whole camp brings an old world luxury charm that is certainly unsurpassed by anything I’ve experienced before. Thank you to William who was extremely helpful but the entire staff from the safari drivers to the wait staff gave us an impeccable service. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
