班芙泉酒店(Banff Springs Hotel)

Being in the service industry myself I am not keen on rating a service online unless it’s a good review. I prefer to speak to someone and give fair feedback so that any issues can be cleared up between the customer and the service provider. In this instance we spoke to the receptionists throughout our stay and again when leaving and I asked that a manager contact us. After two weeks we were not contacted. I then sent an email to the General Manager on 8th July with a list of my concerns and feedback. Another two weeks and nothing! We are now more disappointed in the lack of professionalism from the Management than the issues we had with our room now. We have just decided now never to return.

The room was good and the food was fairly good but the service in the bar and restaurant was very poor at times whilst dining you had the impression that the staff couldn't get you out quickly enough and if you wanted a drink you had to go and find staff as the bar was very rarely staffed the hotel is in a nice location the reception staff are nice and helpful but the restaurant and bar service really let it down

Rooms are small considering we booked and paid for a premium sea view room. Some of the furnishing was tired and damaged and the room had a strong musky smell. When we raised this the manager was rude, hostile and combative towards us. On the plus side the dining area had first rate decor and excellent view across the bay. Breakfast was excellent, dining staff extremely pleasant and the dining menu (not bar menu) was first class.

Turned up at 19:25 only to be told that the restaurant had just closed because of a lack of guests, after being told we could order in a curry to our room after around 30 minutes we were then told that the restaurant would stay open for us. Unfortunately the food was mediocre at best and the starter had to be sent back. We understand the difficulties the hospitality sector is facing at the moment but please just be honest before we book so we can plan in advance.

Breakfast very creasey

Good hotel one of the breakfast teams were very slow took 20 mins from sit down to get a cup of tea, the second day the breakfast team were excellent.

Couldnt fault the food, and a decent menu. Haven’t been for years as the menu went quite fancy for my liking. Only complaint from me, was sitting in a booth. Especially if you’re smaller in height but bigger in size. In the booth you have to slide in as it’s far too narrow, this makes your clothes twist and then there’s no room to readjust your clothing. The waitress also can’t lean in to place your food on the table. And with hot plates !!!. There are tables but if you don’t state your preference or you forget. Lovely view on a nice spring evening.

We have stayed here a few times and can’t fault it. Great hotel and very friendly helpful staff. The receptionist Lesley was particularly helpful, nothing was too much trouble for her. She is definately in the right job. Had dinner on our first night and the food was lovely, would highly recommend eating here. Lovely views of the sea from the restaurant. Great choice of breakfast and quality products. Comfortable beds.

We had a family night at the Banff Springs Hotel, and it was just fab. All Staff were super lovely and our requests to decorate our Sisters room and our dining table for her big birthday was done with no issue. Our meal (9) of us was just so nice no complaints whatsoever and they gave my Sister a complementary dessert lovely done up to celebrate her 60th. It was also very reasonabily priced for a hotel which was lovely as we then chose to drink there following our meal for that reason. A huge special Thank you to all at the Banff Springs . We will all recommend Banff Springs for sure. Duff Party.
