長年憧れていたホテルに、やっと宿泊する事ができました。
想像以上に素晴らしいホテルでした。
歴史ある建物、メンテナンス、清掃も行き届いていて全てが美しく、ホスピタリティーも素晴らしく思い出に残る旅になりました。

I've dreamed of staying here since Oi saw Octopussy (back in the 80s I guess!). I was so excited to finally come here as the last stop of our 3 week trip in India - and am left feeling so disappointed, frustrated & let down that I cried. It started out very promisingly with a lovely little arrival ceremony. We were then told that our room had been upgraded & we thought - wow! We were shown around the premises - which didn't take too long. It certainly has a lot of charm & history & they're still living on the Octopussy thing. We were shown to our room which, at first seemed charming but stank overpoweringly of really strong, heavy, horrible floral (maybe rose and/or neolithic?) . I'm allergic to perfume & soon began to feel ill. I asked for whatever was creating the smell to be removed. But the smell remained even after various purifiers were used. We are currently waiting with the door open & fan going full blast to be able to consider going to bed. Meanwhile, we've had tome to notice more flaws. There may be a fine line between age & charm & tired & tatty but this room is clearly on the side of tired & tatty & given the thick layer of dust on the writing co****dium, doesn't seem to get a really thorough clean. The "coffee & tea machine" that was pointed out is a kettle with tea bags & instant coffee. The blinds aren't effective, the bathroom old, damaged & unappealing. Compared to all the other hotels we've enjoyed in India, the service is lacklustre. Instead of meticulously laid out mat & slippers at turn down, a plastic bag of slippers was thrown on the floor near the bedside tables. Not worth the money & an incredible let down.

Wir befinden uns auf einer mehrwöchigen Rundreise in Indien. Dieses Hotel ist im Vergleich zu anderen 5 Sterne Hotels nicht zu empfehlen. Das Personal ist allerdings sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel ist stark renovierungsbedürftig, das Zimmer war klein aber sauber. Ich würde ein Oberoi Hotel immer bevorzugen. Die Anlage ist voller Tauben, wer das nicht mag sollte auf alle Fälle Abstand nehmen. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt überhaupt nicht

Wir hatten uns ein Zimmer gebucht mit Abend view . Die Ausstattung ist ok und entspricht dem Standard der guten alten Zeit ergänzt um technische Einheiten . Die Lage ist und bleibt top und das großartige Team im Service ist outstanding. Wir lieben es einen Blick in die Vergangenheit zu nehmen auch wenn das Preis Leistungsverhältnis sicherlich individuell geprüft werden sollte. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt

Es war einmal ein sehr schöner traditioneller Sommersitz der Maharajas und wurde später zu einem Hotel umfunktioniert. Das Who is who der ganzen Welt ist hier bereits abgestiegen. Im Lake liegend, direkt vor den City Palast mit toller Aussicht auf den Palast. Das Hotel erreicht *** nur mit dem Boot und wird dort empfangen, wie einst der Maharaja. Der Service, das Essen und das Personal sehr gut und super freundlich. Alles wirkt aber auch etwas renovierungsbedürftig.
