VJ民宿&餐廳(VJ's Guesthouse and Restaurant)

We stayed at VJs guesthouse from 30 June to 2 July 2023. It is definitely not upmarket! We had cold water to shower in and 2 threadbare towels with holes in to use! Had to ask for extra blankets in winter, as none were in the cupboards. No milk available just coffee creamer... Who uses coffee creamer with tea? Duvet was thin.Shocking actually and embarrassing because I booked for friends and family. Tourism grading of this establishment is required.

The standard has deteriorated over the years. Saturday night was the worst with a full on party in the self catering unit next door that went on all night. Unacceptable. The bedding had mysterious looking stains. Will not recommend.

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience here - our room was cockroach infested and we had to leave mid-evening and find a hotel in P.E to check into to sleep. We cancelled the reservation immediately the next morning and demanded a full refund. The refund was given to us without hesitation, but no apologies for the unfortunate experience. PEST CONTROL is urgently needed here before the place will be suitable for guests. Please improve on this asap as this was trully an unacceptable and unpleasant experience! The staff seemed to indicate that the problem had already existed and therefore was known to management without recourse.

This is a comfortable venue for any traveler. all the shops are conveniently close by and a on site restaurant it makes even convenient. whether staying overnight or for a week, this definitely the place to stay.
