Stayed for 3 nights during my Ujjain trip and had a really good experience the hotel is very close to the railway station and not far from Mahakaleshwar temple which made everything super convenient the suite was clean and comfortable and perfect for stay What really made a difference was the staff especially Shakshi and Rahul at the reception both of them were really polite professional and always ready to help it actually felt nice to be welcomed like that The food at their restaurant was also surprisingly good especially the poha they serve for breakfast which I ended up having every single morning simple and tasty Overall a good place to stay in Ujjain especially if you are there for darshan and want a place that is reliable clean and has genuinely good service

We stayed here with our family in June 2025 during our Ujjain trip. Overall, we had a comfortable stay. Their Suite room was quite spacious. There was a separate small sitting area with two sofa, then a very big bedroom, and an attached changing room and a bathroom. The hotel has a bit of an old-style feel. The AC is in sitting room is older type with wheels and the sofa and interiors look slightly outdated. Everything was working fine and the place was clean and maintained. For a government-run property, it is quite well maintained, definitely better than many other options in town. Parking space was enough. Location-wise, it’s in the city on a main road. It’s not very close to the temples or the crowded areas. There are good restaurants, cafes, local food spots and shopping malls nearby. Service was good and staff was helpful. Food was delicious and good in quality. Breakfast had multiple options including some local varieties. Overall, I would recommend this place to families visiting Ujjain and would consider staying here again.

We have stayed at MPT Ujjaiyini twice and were told that MPT Shipra was a higher version. So decided to try out this time. The property is located just opposite MPT Ujjaiyini. The Room size was just okay. Bed Linen were clean except the duvet cover which was changed on request. We requested a room change the next day, but we again had to get linen changed. Ambience of the property is Good. Reception staff was nice on 1st day and indifferent sad looking later. Food was good, serving was with proper etiquettes. Wifi not good in room. One strange thing I noticed, Every staff member entering the room for any service expected a tip, even the boy called for changing the linen, which ought to have been clean in the first instance. Overall I found MPT Ujjayini to be a better option at lower cost, though only vegetarian food is available there.

a good property which is also the best restaurant as has good food offerings. Property is under MP tourism so rates are normally good. Hospitality is nice as staff is well behaved. You will get a communication rickshaw almost all the time so that is an added benifit.

We stayed for one night as we visited the temples. The food at the restaurant was excellent but everything else was average.

MPT Shipra Residency is a fantastic place to stay! The hospitality is good with staff always ready to assist. The rooms are OK, and comfortable. The location is also convenient, with easy access to local attractions viz Mahakaleshwar, Kal Bharav, Gadkalika and Harsiddhi shakti peeth. The overall ambiance is good and relaxing. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a pleasant stay while visiting Temples. Food served is also good to taste.

Wonderful staff, very cooperative and always ready to help. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The restaurant food is extremely good, and the staff there deserves special appreciation for their service. The only drawback is the bedroom comfort – the mattresses are quite old and not at all suitable for a comfortable sleep. Similarly, the air conditioners also feel outdated and need an upgrade. Other than that, this property is truly one of the best for a relaxing stay.

Location is nice , near to market . Having multiple options to stay. Dinning facility is good. Breakfast was included and it was delicious, Dinner was enjoyed as part of buffet . Vehicle for local site was arranges by hotel team even you could get the transportation at own end bcs location is in middle of city.

Room has kettle, tea-coffee and toiletries given. Restaurant food and breakfast buffet is decent. The bathrooms seem to have become a bit old - there are holes in the floor at the door corners, the bath fittings are confusing especially for senior citizens, the locks are too tight, floor is slippery and so on. There is no lift, one has to climb stairs to reach rooms on upper floors. Restaurant is on ground floor, so it was a bit tough on my parents. Hotel staff is friendly and Amit from front desk was helpful in arranging taxi with a competent driver who gave us a wonderful tour of the temples around Ujjain and Nalkheda. We are extremely grateful of this.

Like most government owned property, this hotel is also a hotel which has nice location, nice property but poorly managed. The rooms are large but not well cared for. The furniture is old, poorly kept & needs to be replaced. The hotel is very big & with progessional management can be easily upgraded to the next level. But unfortunately, MP Tourism is not doing a good job of running these can be nice hotels. The hotel has a big dining hall where we had breakfast. The breakfast had a wide spread & everything was good. If professionally managed, this hotel can fecth much higher rates & would be much appreciated.

My recent stay at this hotel was underwhelming and left quite a bit to be desired. While the rooms were clean and spacious, which is the bare minimum one would expect, that’s about where the positives end. The overall experience felt more mediocre than memorable. The biggest disappointment was the food. Despite being advertised as a key feature, the meals were bland, lacking variety, and far from what you’d expect at this price point. Room service was slow, and the dining area didn’t feel welcoming or properly maintained. For anyone who values a good meal during their stay, this hotel falls short in a big way. Service throughout my stay was passable at best. Staff were polite but seemed disinterested and inattentive, which made the atmosphere feel cold and impersonal. Basic requests took longer than necessary, which added to the overall frustration. While the room itself provided a decent place to sleep, that alone isn’t enough to warrant a return visit. With so many other options available, it’s hard to justify staying here again unless management addresses the poor dining experience and improves overall service quality.

Pathetic MPT hotel, worst then lodge, i have made a complaint they said cant do any thing , Reception guy Rahul was extremely rude...not for hospitality industry....MPT should revisit their staff behaviour...only positive point was help provided my Make My trip they provided instant refund as hotel was admant and rude, request avoid

Very nice hotel to stay in Ujjain, weather you are with family/friends/couple. The property is big and have ample parking space. Rooms are big and nice. Very clean. Neat and clean bathroom with amenities. Very comfortable bed. Service is also very good. Food is nice and tastier. Breakfast is complementary ***** with room. Hotel also has a bar in premises.
