We had a great stay here. Friendly receptionist, great 9th floor room overlooking the river, plenty of space. Great breakfast, as usual for Scandic.

A very nice hotel, classic, in the center of the city. The staff was extremely helpful, the breakfast buffet was great and I really enjoyed drinking by the fireplace.

Nice lobby, very nice people working there. Great location in Umeå. The rooms feel very dated. They are clean and functional but have the feeling of a hospital with harsh light. Had a room facing the river and at the dock there is a restaurant boat that played loud music until 2.00 AM so ask for a room on the other side if you get disturbed by load music. Good Scandinavian breakfast but nothing out of the ordinary.

Hotel is a bit aged but fine, everything is pretty good. Great views. However, the hotel does not have air conditioning but it would be useful so rooms can be cooled without having to open windows. Open windows allow the loud nightclub music to come in from the party boats a few hundred meters away.

Typical norrläning greeting, very happy with the service. The pillows could be a bit more supportive and amybe a fridge to put your lunch in. Otherwise a very nice hotel. Gym was also very good for a hotel.

We had driven a long way and had to stop to get som sleep. We called ahead and when we arrived we were greeted by one of the most service minded person I’ve met. To understand the simplicity in a warm smile and to just make it easier for the guests is a rare quality.

I sleept very good, it was okey breakfast, it was close to the town so that was very great. But i missed a bathtub and the shower was a littel small, but overall everything els was realy great, we are going back.

Since i am a member of Scandics loyalty program, I usually chose a hotel from Scandic. Scandic Plaza Umeå, however stands out in a positive way. The location in the center of Umeå is nice. The rooms are bigger than usual for this price, and the beds are comfortable. If you get a room on the upper floors you will have an amazing view of Umeå. Allt he common areas i.e. Bar, Breakfast restaurant and other areas are nice with a relaxing atmosphere. A slight minus for the parking situation. On the homepage/app you can read that the hotel has 20 own parking places, but they come at a rather high cost. The price is almost the same at parking garage Parketten opposite of the hotel entrance. SEK 120-150/24 hours. The biggest plus is the staff. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly, helpful and service minded. Big plus! Without hesitation, I can recommend Scandic Plaza Umeå for i nice stay.
