If you are looking for the perfect balance of family fun and relaxation in Umhlanga, Breakers Resort is a fantastic choice. We recently stayed in a 4-bedroom sea view unit on a high floor, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. What Stood Out: The Vibe: Unlike many of the neighboring resorts that can feel frantic and overcrowded, Breakers felt wonderfully peaceful and well-managed. The Unit: Our apartment was newly renovated, exceptionally clean, and neat. The aesthetic was fresh, featuring crisp linens and a layout that felt spacious enough for the whole family. The Views: Being on a high floor, the sea views were breathtaking—perfect for morning coffee or watching the waves. Amenities: The resort is a paradise for kids (and parents). The hot water pools were a massive hit, and the water slides kept the children entertained for hours. Convenience: The unit is full self-catering, which is great for families, but they also provide the little essentials like beach towels, saving us a lot of luggage space. Why We’d Return: It is rare to find a resort that is so family-oriented while still maintaining a quiet, upscale atmosphere. Everything felt high-quality, from the maintenance of the grounds to the comfort of the beds.
