Спасибо персоналу отеля от нас с мужем за восхитительную неделю, проведенную на побережье. Очень понравилось расположение отеля - не в шумном центре, но и до пляжа 10 минут пешком. Чистый номер, очень вкусная еда и прекрасный кофе, чтобы проснуться. Много зелени, обезьянки и бурундуки. Можно взять почитать книгу в небольшой библиотеке. Или позаниматься в спортзале (я брала коврик для занятий йогой по утрам). Всегда чистый бассейн. Очень понравился аюрведический массаж. Есть свой выход на берег, но через дорогу. Идеальное место, чтобы посмотреть закат. Отдельное спасибо персоналу за поздний ужин при заселении и за ранний завтрак с собой, который мы съели по пути в аэропорт. Обязательно вернемся!

Das Sergeant Haus ist eine absolute Perle und eine Oase der Ruhe im Trubel von Unawatuna. Das Hotelgelände ist sehr gepflegt, geschmackvoll und durchdacht angelegt. Auch der kleine private Strand ist sehr schön. Wir hatten das „Höhlenzimmer“ und für uns war es, trotz der kleinen Größe perfekt, da jeder seinen eigenen Bereich hatte. Es hat an nichts gefehlt und alles war makellos sauber. Das gesamte Personal ist unfassbar aufmerksam, aber unaufdringlich, sehr angenehm. Die Managerin Chathuri ist present, jederzeit ansprechbar und sehr darauf bedacht, dass es jedem Gast gut geht, eine Seele von Mensch die sich um jedes noch so ungewöhnliche Problem kümmert und für alles eine Lösung findet. Danke für alles!! Das Frühstück war reichlich, lecker und von sehr guter Qualität. Weil wir viel unterwegs waren, haben wir leider nicht dort zu Abend gegessen, aber die Preise sind erstaunlich günstig, genauso wie die Preise der Minbar und für sämtliche Zusatzleistungen bzw. Angebote. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Wir freuen uns darauf irgendwann wiederzukommen und können es kaum erwarten.

I can only echo what most have said on here but with a few caveats. The staff and management are top notch. The rooms are lovely and maintained extremely well. But…the pool area is quite small and loungers are close to each other which means when it’s busy you’ll be on top of each other being that there are six lined up and two in the pool. Not sure where there’s space for anymore. The small private beach which is across a very busy and extremely noisy road is disappointing. It has four sun loungers and is like sitting next to a motorway. We walked about 5 minutes away to the main beach which had space and more life. The biggest problem was that we were there during the Full Moon celebrations where for two alternate nights we were kept awake by the non stop Buddhist chanting and banging of drums. This was made worse by the fact that it’s played through loudspeakers!! Sleeping was near impossible for two whole nights. It’s unfortunate for everyone, not just guests, that live in the vicinity. Overall it’s a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting.

Благодарю персонал и владельца дома за теплый прием. Отдельное спасибо обслуживающему персоналу за ежедневную чистку бассейна, за вкусные завтраки. Уютная атмосфера территории дома, все очень красиво и чисто. Советую всем посетить Sergeant house.

So ein großartiges Hotel! Toller Kolonialstil. Sehr großzügig. Das Personal superfreundlich und aufmerksam. Küche top.Und sehr moderate Preise.Eine ruhige und angenehme Atmosphäre.

This small and beautiful boutique hotel offers a super tranquil and luxury escape away from the hustle and bustle of Unawatuna on Sri Lanka’s south coast. The colonial design of the hotel with just seven rooms to choose from, combines local charm with incredible personal service. Add to that its private beach just across the road from the hotel and you have a stunning hotel we would love to return to. We even saw turtles from the beach. Sergeant House in Unawatuna has a really laid-back yet stylish vibe. The staff are incredibly welcoming, and there’s a super homely feeling to the place, When you enter the property from a busy road you can’t believe how quiet the space is and how you feel in the middle of nature. The swimming pool is perfectly formed for the number of guests and the sunbeds that sit within the pool itself are a lovely touch. There are small jacuzzi style pools around the grounds too. Massages can be booked and both myself and my eldest had massages which were excellent.
