阿奔迪亞酒店(Abundia Unawatuna)

Clean large family room. Excellent dinner. Good location close to the beach. Great service and the outside space and pool is nice. You can hear the train when you are outside of the room. It did not disturb us at night. We couldn’t stay for breakfast unfortunately.

Das Abundia Home Stay ist eine schöne kleine und sehr saubere Unterkunft mit sehr sehr herzlichen Menschen die sie führen! Wir waren rundum zufrieden in unserem Zimmer und auch das hausgemachte Frühstück und Abendessen war hervorragend! Wir waren zwei Freundinnen die drei Nächte dort verbraucht haben und haben und sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Einkaufs-/Restaurantstraße und der Unawatuna Beach ist 15 Minuten zu Fuß und zwei Minuten mit dem Tuktuk entfernt (300-400RP), auch das Zentrum in Galle ist nur 8-10 Minuten mit dem Tuktuk. Auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen!

Stayed long stay in Abundia with six friend's, three lovely room's on the first floor.The room's are big,spacious and well equipped with a large king-size bed and a single bed,both very comfortable,fridge freezer, kettle,and if you ask Udara the manager an iron would be provided too.Abuudia has a lovely pool in the garden and the staff are so friendly, they served us fresh fruit juice and other delight's,monkey's pay regular visits and there is a large variety of bird's and other animal's to look out for,Udara is so helpful and welcoming and nothing is to much trouble for him or his staff.The only downside of this beautiful property is the trains that pass close by regularly,we got used to them as we were there ten week's but it may be a problem for some wanting a peaceful retreat,we would definitely return,Thank you all at Abundia for a wonderful holiday.

Very nice place. Nice owners, will do everything to make your stay perfect! We hebben ontzettend genoten. Het zwembad is heerlijk, de eigenaar helpt je met leuke activiteiten en ze koken heerlijk. Echt een aanrader om heen te gaan. Wij waren hier met kinderen

Amazing start to our holiday. The staff were super helpful and welcoming. Appreciated that we have travelled far and arrived super jet lagged so they accommodated for this. The rooms are huge and super clean- pool is a lovely addition. Breakfast is MEGA!!! Definitely stay here!!!! Can’t wait to go back.

This is a place you MUST stay for more days than one. The rooms are big and very clean. But the rooms are not the reason why you would like to stay here. It’s the hospitality and the kind people that help you. It’s called a home stay for a reason because within a few hours you’re already part of the family. The facilities are well maintained and proper clean. The breakfast is so good and they have great tips to visit. The location is perfect because you are out of the busy area near Galle but yet close to many great spots. They have some great contacts so you’d always be certain of a ride to a nice spot.

I contacted the hotel the day before arriving to confirm they would be collecting us from a prior accommodation to take us to Unawatuna. Several hours later, with less than 24 hours before I was to arrive the answer was no, we have Covid in the hotel and have closed. Now that will be sad for the hotel, and obviously they had to deal with that issue. But I got the impression that had I not contacted the hotel I would not have been informed of the fact they were closed and I would have been sat at my current hotel and no one would have collected me. Or if I made my own taxi arrangements I would have arrived to a closed door. Surely their first job on hearing they were to close would be to contact all customers due to arrive? They didn't.

I'm still at the hotel and we've extended by an extra week as we love it so much. I was going to wait to write the review but when looking on *********** to show my friend where I'm staying I noticed a couple reviews which angered me. The latest review talks of staff mistreating people...look at the hundreds of reviews on every site and you'll notice how untrue this can be. I've never met more loving people in my life. My girlfriend and mum are joining them for midnight mass at church tonight. They literally wait on every guest constantly. Any thing you could want they will do their best. Way way way above and beyond any staff I've ever seen... We were here during the other reviews stays and late into the evening the staff were constantly bringing them drinks and food and dancing with them. There's some insects...its Sri Lanka! There's insects everywhere. We've been here 6 weeks and this place is actually quite good at minimising it but yeah there some mosquitos...dur. It's 5 mins to the beach or even less in a Tuk or a 18 min walk, very easy. The pools great. The breakfast is great. This review feels personal as within 6 days they already feel like family, that's how good they are and they care SO much.
