TownePlace Suites Columbus North - OSU

Stayed at this hotel several times over the last several years. This is the first time the room was not entirely clean, cobwebs around the trash can, hair in the shower, spots on the sheets. Breakfast was not even half of what it has been in the past, lots of noise in the hall. My room was not ready when I arrived, I was told there would be a discount for not being able to have my corner room and being placed in a smaller regular suite. No discount given. There was even a parking fee that was not there in previous years. Very disappointed.

First time staying at a TownPlace Suites. It will not be my last. The property was in a great location with plenty of free open and garage parking. The property was very clean, modern, and welll kept. The decor throughout was beautiful. There was art on the walls in the coridoors leading to the rooms and in the room. The elevator lobby on each floor had a little sitting area and a hand sanitizer dispenser on the wall that worked. The room was spacious, very clean, crisp white sheets, a nice chair with ottoman, full size refrigerator in the kitchenette, 2 burner electric stove, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher and cookware. Very efficient and easy to operate climate control. Bathroom was beautifully appointed with large walk in shower, nice vanity sink , plenty of hot water and great water pressure. There are wall mounted soap, conditioner and shampoo dispensers in the shower. The front desk staff was top notch. The general manager ,Mr.Frederick Thomas was superb in his service and welcoming personality. Breakfast area was well thought out. The complimentary breakfast was very good and the lady attendant was so nice and accommodating. I liked that the main floor restroom had a foot plate enabling you to open the door when leaving without having to touch the door handle. They even had a decorative chalk board in the lobby with the temperature forecast for the week.

This is our second stay at this hotel - we enjoy the hot breakfast along with having a kitchen. There’s a Whole Foods grocery across the street along with a number of restaurants in walking distance. My only complaint is that there was no hot water at 7 am on a Saturday.

Had plans to meet with guest in room at 3 pm check in time. We arrived early to confirm reservation made one week earlier. Anticipated room to to ready at 3:pm. Our event was delayed as room was not ready until 3:45 p.m. A reservation made a week previous should assure your room is ready at check in time on dated of scheduled stay.

Great location and very close to the tennis tour we attended. Plenty of restaurant choices in walking distance. Clean room and friendly staff.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that we were in a corner suite and there was a small child above us that kept running around early in the morning. We told the hotel staff twice and they said they talked to them. Still happened the next day. Next time we will ask for the top floor. Other than that, great place and excellent location.

Friendly, courteous staff. Plenty of helpful suggestions on check in. It was a short stay and we had solid plans so we didn’t need much, but what we did need was supported graciously
