When we visited Prakriti, they accommodated our early check in request happily. Before even stepping into our room we thought of checking out the surroundings. A tiny pathway that led us to the backyard of the property, surprised us and how! The most pristine part of Bhagirirathi river, crystal clear waters were just few feet away from us. Later when we checked into our room, we were even happier to see that our room had a balcony offering the most stunning views! Our room provided wi-fi, Room heating (much needed in this area), hot water supply. As we had reached early we decided to gorge on some breakfast. We had piping hot aloo puri and parathas. Our remaining meals included a full fledged Punjabi meal for dinner and traditional Garhwali thali for the lunch next day. I would like to specially mention the Garhwali Thali which was outstanding! Made from the locally sourced produce our Garhwali Thali had Gahat ka Faana, Kaphali, Chhemi ki Daal, Kode ki roti, Chaunsa, Laal Chawal, Jhangore ki kheer etc. This thali is prepared on request and is available in two sizes (Full fledged Thali and a mini Thali) Apart from this one of the days when we wanted to drift away from the local food, we also ordered a Chinese are to our surprise that was really good too. The desi Chinese you need in that cold-cold weather! Tip – they also offer Jain food. During our stay Mr. Shyam, Mr. Rawat and the entire team was seamless in their service. They were proactive and went above and beyond to make sure we have a great local experience. At no point we felt that we are in a hotel-hotel. It felt more like a homely experience.

This resort is located on the highway connecting Harsil helipad and Gangotri, one of the char dhams. The front view of the resort is not very impressive. However, the view from the rooms and the balcony takes your breath away. If you take a short walk by the side of the resort, you will find absolutely stunning views of snow covered peaks of the mighty Himalayas and river Bhagirathi, which is one of the main source streams of river Ganga. The waters of the river are crystal clear and the sound of the river flowing just in front of you in such a peaceful and serene settings takes you to a magical world of absolute beauty and tranquility. This was, easily, one of the most unforgettable places we have ever visited. Our rooms were spacious and came with a room heater, wifi and a bathroom with water heater. However, the rooms next to the lobby tend to get very noisy at night. The food prepared in the resort was wholesome and good. The overall service was excellent. There is a mini library as well in the resort! We hope to go back to the resort during the winter months to spend a couple of days of pure bliss and magic.

A Serene Escape Prakriti Retreat Harsil is a hidden gem nestled in the breathtakingly beautiful valley of Harsil. My stay was nothing short of magical, thanks to the warm hospitality and exceptional service. - *Stunning views*: The retreat's picturesque location offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas and the Bhagirathi River. - *Comfortable rooms*: my room was cozy, clean, and perfectly maintained, with comfortable beds and modern amenities. - *Delicious food*: The retreat's kitchen served mouth-watering local and international cuisine, made with fresh ingredients and love. - *Warm hospitality*: The staff, led by the incredible Mr. Negi, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was memorable. Special Shoutout to Mr. Negi Mr. Negi, the hotel manager, deserves a special mention for his exceptional service and warm smile. He took a personal interest when I told about solo trek to sattal . He even called guide and bargained for the price . I felt so safe as he ensured that stay ,food ,warm water ,tea , everything was perfect. Loved our stay at Prakriti. The beautiful views of the snowy Himalayas, and literally being on the banks of the sacred Bhagirathi are just magical. It is a simple place, but that is to be expected given the remote location. Appreciated Soumya's warm and swift assistance right from booking all the way to the end of the stay, and flexibility regarding an unplanned change in our arrangements. The staff are wonderful - special mentions to Ajay, Kalam and Vivek who took good care of us. We appreciated the delicious fresh veg food. Highly recommend Prakriti for your stay in Harshil. It is very close to Gangotri.

Prakriti is a superb place to stay in Harsil - Gangotri belt. It has everything we can ask for: good rooms, great food, excellent staff, outstanding location. They have ample parking space as well as driver amenities. Wife and I stayed there for three nights in October 2024 and had very satisfying stay. I recommend them highly and will stay there again whenever I visit this part of the country.

This resort has everything: location, comfort, peace and quiet, attentive staff, excellent vegetarian cuisine, and lovely views. We stayed four nights, with two adjoining rooms and a shared balcony between the two rooms overlooking the river. This gave us a lovely shared space that was private, so we sat out and chatted most evenings with the river flowing by below. The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, and even cooked us meals more to our taste (reduced salt and lots of spice) - truly delicious! Overall, it was a memorable experience and we hope to come again soon.

I spent there 2 niin October 2024. It was awesome experience there. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. As well as washroom was neat and clean. Room heater was available. Location was superb, just at the bank of river Bhagirathi. Small apple orchard was there beside hotel. Service staffs were very efficient. They served very delicious food in that remote place. We enjoyed our stay very much 😀.

Whatever I write about this place, the words won’t do justice. Each and every member of this resort is helpful and very dedicated in addressing even the tiniest concerns of the clients. The view from my room was very beautiful, I felt like I was in heaven.

PROS:Good location, smooth service, friendly and efficient staff, tasty food, nicely appointed rooms and a wonderful view. We stayed 3 nights. Suggestions: Do place food cards in front of the chaffing dishes.. That would prevent guests from opening and reopening the lid to check what's inside. Also cools the food down. We did mention this to the staff. The white board at the entrance of the reception is always blank although it has some Pooja samagri kept below. Not sure what is the purpose. Im not sure if you offer room cleaning / bed making everyday/occasionally . It wasn't offered and we didn't ask but it would be nice if dust bins etc were cleared. Once we left the rooms there seems to be a system where the main switch of the room situated outside the room is turned off without informing the guest. We returned to find no power and thought that there was no main supply hence sat in the room without electricity till evening. Only when we complained did someone come over and turned on the switch situated outside the room! These are not complaints but mere observations. Tranquility, serenity,peace ,comfort,cleanliness and a welcoming staff all wrapped into one is how one can define Prakriti. The view of the flowing Ganga, the warm rooms and scrumptious meals make it a must visit. Gangotri dham is at a short distance making it the perfect stay for Gangotri dham. Special mention for the staff who are extremely courteous and caring.

I highly recommend Prakriti. The setting was incredibly beautiful, with views from every room, right on the river with the mountains overlooking. The food was fantastic and the staff very kind and eager to provide a fun and restorative experience. It was a perfect jumping off place for the trek from Gangotri to Gomukh and beyond. Highly recommend.

Nestled beside the beautiful Ganga, the property is a treat for all the senses. This is aptly located after Harsil. Finding a riverside property seemed like a stroke of luck! The rooms are spacious and incredibly well-lit. The staff helped us with our luggage. The beds are comfortable and everything is spotless! The washrooms are clean and kudos to the staff for keeping the place well-maintained. You get 24*7 hot water and a personal room heater to ward off the cold. We were pretty happy on seeing what was offered. We were welcomed with some of the best tea we have ever had! We ordered the crispiest pakodas you can get, which was the right decision. As a couple, we liked our privacy and our little balcony was the perfect place to sit and relax. We even went to the riverside and meditated for some time. The sound of the gentle river was the most rejuvenating experience for me. The buffet dinner was delectable with multiple choices! We thoroughly enjoyed the food. They have an elaborate menu and you even get room service! The staff there is super friendly and helpful. The staff at any place can make or break your trip. I loved my stay and will certainly come again! This is now my favorite place in the entire Harsil Valley. Thank you guys!

Excellent service by staff of Prakriti. Rooms were very clean and location is the best of all. Their buffet was amazing and had a lot of variety. I totally recommend this place for a comfortable and cozy stay. The staff is very helpful and cooperative. The manager Mr.Negi was above and beyond in customer service. Would definitely visit again later this year 10/10

Lovely rooms and good food overall we enjoyed all the facilities…… staff is very friendly and punctual ❤️❤️❤️love every bit of our stay…… food is like Ghar ka Khana less masaaley and perfect for people who like homemade meals….. View from our room was amazing 🤩
