Convenient & cheap overnight stop with quick access back onto motorway yet quiet & calm. Shame about the restaurant side ! Arriving week day on way south told closed cos. chef on holiday ! 🫣 On return Saturday journey north arrived to be told restaurant not open weekends 😳 Restaurants open in outskirts of Alencon a 10 min drive.

Very basic hotel, but suited our purpose, walking distance of town and restaurants, ideal for a 1 night stopover, very small room.

Hotel itself is a great place for a night, however despite informing the hotel twice via email and on original booking form, i was given a first floor room, despite requesting a ground floor as i was travelling with my 84 year old mother, who has difficulty in negotiating stairs and no elevator was available, so despite the hotel being great, i won’t be staying there again as it’s unreliable to honour requests, very disappointing.

The staff were brilliant and very helpful when we arrived and checked in. The room was compact and smelt musty. The drains in the bathroom stunk. There was no soap in the dispenser and no kettle either. The staff filled the dispenser and explained there was a problem with the electrics but we could use the drinks machine in the dining room. We used the plugs for recharging phones, and didn't seem to have a problem. The drinks machine had all that we wanted. The table in our room was sticky and the shower cubicle was very very small with black mould in the corners. We had a reasonable night's sleep. When we showered or used the sink, it stirred the smell up. We went for breakfast, continental, no problem, but the pastries were dry, as was the baguette. Probably yesterday's reheated. This is France! Breakfast baguettes and pastries are always fresh! Although the location was good for our needs, we probably won't use this hotel again.
