Location is very good, right in the center and near the Gondola rides and private water taxis. Only issue was that our room had small toilet flies flying around, saw at least 5. Front desk staff were mostly helpful too

This hotel was probably the best one we stayed at while in Italy. Rooms were very clean and washrooms were large and comfortable. The location of this hotel is also right by Rialto bridge and it was easy getting around. Hotel staff were also very helpful and provided great insights into what sites to see in Venice.

My stay at Hotel A La Commedia was fantastic! Immediately upon arrival I was greeted by friendly and pleasant staff which was a great relief after a long flight and travel to reach Venice. The room was big, clean and comfortable with plenty of storage and amenities. Unfortunately it was raining during our stay so was not able to enjoy the rooftop cafe but there was a convenient and cute little bar in lobby. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a lot of food options and seating areas. Parvais took great care of us with attentive service making sure we had coffees and everything for a nice meal. Each day of my stay, I found the front reception desk staff, namely Andrea, Jacky, Sherene and apologies on the name but the lovely young lady with the straight brown hair, to be so helpful and friendly with their assistance and my questions as it was my first time in Venice. Ari was also very helpful and pleasant to assist with our baggage and anything else. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again. It was nearby water taxis, gondolas, shops, restaurants and The Rialto Bridge. But mainly I’d like to acknowledge the staff for their respectful hospitality who made all the difference in my stay.

Lovely hotel with very comfortable rooms and friendly staff in a fantastic location to visit all of what Venice has to offer. The breakfast selection was nice, if somewhat limited in choice. If weather permits it’s definitely worth a visit to the rooftop bar with views across to St Mark’s Campanile.

Wonderful roof terrace bar. Immaculate room; very professional staff; superb location 2 mins from Rialto but tucked away; lovely, plentiful breakfast; very cool during hot days. Just one issue - sustainability - plastic water bottles were brought to every guest before bed, and the toiletries/cups etc were all packaged in plastic. Being in the beautiful environment of Venice, you are aware of the importance of protecting it. The hotel was absolutely wonderful - I just would have liked to have seen some attempts to encourage guests to make sustainable choices and look after the wonderful places they will see.

The hotel was in a great location only a short walk from the Rialto water us stop. The front desk staff was outstanding. Cute little rooftop bar. Room was spacious and comfortable. This hotel is pet friendly and the carpets could use replacing (or serious steam cleaning) from stains left by pets.
