Updated rooms, helpful staff, generous meals at the cafe. Beach chairs & towels. Walk a few steps to beautiful boardwalk, bike rental, restaurants, library, pickleball, playground, Wawa. Ventnor is perfect. Happiness for our family ages 6 - 75 from Maryland and California. Thank you John & Agnes, we cannot wait to return soon.

This was my first time there and it had been recommended by a friend as a good place to stay for an overnight. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. In the morning, Met Agnes and John, the owners and was served a delicious breakfast inside their common dining area on first floor. They both introduced themselves and Agnes was very attentive by checking on me to see if I needed anything. Definitely would stay there again.

Every June my family gathers at Carisbrooke for the beginning of summer and now 11 year old Charlie's birthday. His first trip was in utero. It is our annual family vacation and it feels as if this is our summer home. Everything is taken care of. There are beach badges, chairs, and towels.There are covered outdoor seating areas and open decks for sunbathing, and you're only half a block from the beach and boardwalk. A full menu breakfast is included and served at the cafe down the street. You can eat indoors or outside. A daily ice cream or water ice treat is also included. They make all the ice cream and water ice in house along with terrific cookies that are always available in the common area.

Lovely accommodation. Room #6. Nice size room with patio access. Bathroom small but nice to have ensuite. Coffee and cookies in parlor a nice touch. The breakfast at nearby diner was delicious (omelet) and service was efficient and friendly. It was beautiful to catch a beach sunrise just a few steps away. I'll return for sure!

This is a great bed and breakfast for a quiet couples getaway. We stayed during the slow season and we had the place to ourselves. The service was excellent and the breakfast was amazing! Also the ice cream 😋 The hosts were very attentive to our needs.

We've been coming here since 2006, usually several times a year. John and Agnes are wonderful hosts.. This was our second visit this summer. Carisbrooke Inn is like a second home. We usually take Room 2, the large room downstairs with a small deck. Each room has a private bathroom. Since the advent of Covid, breakfast is now at the North Beach Cafe down the street. There are outdoor tables in nice weather. There are wonderful chocolate chip cookies in the living room and breakfast can include one of Agnes's delicious scones. You also can select an ice cream cone or water ice each afternoon, and there are a lot of flavors to choose from. The beach towels and beach chairs are included and you're just a half block from the beach and boardwalk. It's all the pleasure of a vacation home with none of the aggravation.

Staying at Carisbrook Inn was a last minute decision. It's now on our list of places we'd like to come back to for a longer visit. We stayed on the ground floor in a room with a king bed, antique furniture and access to it's own deck. The bed/pillows were very comfortable. The inn provided beach chairs, beach towels and you can check out beach badges. Access to the beach was one block down the street. The breakfast is a little different from other places we've stayed. You go down the street to a local cafe and order from a set menu. There were a large range of choices and the food was delicious. My favorite part may have been that you also get a small ice cream from the same cafe in the afternoon. I do think that if you have mobility issues this would be a challenging place to stay. The parking is about a block away, the breakfast is half a block away and there are stairs into the building.

My partner and I stayed 3 nights in Room 3 (first floor, queen bed, private bathroom) and it was exactly what we hoped for. We're always looking for nice LGBTQ+ friendly travel options and this was one of the ones we read about. The bed was so comfortable, the room was actually larger than I expected for a B&B, the wifi strong, the A/C strong, the location perfect, the parking spot appreciated. Restaurants, shops, and beach access are right there and walkable. We loved the included breakfast at North Beach Cafe, and the convenience of beach chairs the inn provides. You can also get beach permits at the cafe ($25 per person) and get a refund when you return them. The self checkin and checkout was also really convenient. There are homemade cookies in the living room that I had to drag my partner away from one night. The room was also (surprisingly) quiet - we didn't hear anyone else on property (hopefully we weren't the loud ones!). There are a few things that could have made the trip even better for us: the shower pressure was so strong, it was actually painful (it feels weird complaining about strong shower pressure, when I know it's better than no shower pressure); the freebies in the welcome letter - beach towels, water bottles - were always depleted (we got 1 beach towel and 2 bottles of water over the 3 nights we were there because the inventory was empty); the afternoon wine and refreshment hour a lot of people mention in the reviews doesn't appear to be a thing anymore - we would have loved that! Overall, we had a really great time, would stay again, and would highly recommend!
