We ate here night and would very highly recommend. The food is absolutely fantastic , Michelin quality and presentation. Faultless. The staff here were also incredibly friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the food they were serving. We can't wait to return. Thank you !!

Just returned from a 3 night break at The Hambrough to celebrate a special occasion. Our room was great … clean and spacious and had a balcony overlooking the sea. Breakfasts were freshly cooked and delicious. We dined at the hotel one evening during our stay. We had previously read the dining experience reviews and our meals (and cocktails!) didn’t disappoint. All staff were friendly and welcoming and helped to make our stay very enjoyable and special. Would recommend and definitely hope to return some time.

It is without doubt the best food on the Island. The courses are exceptional, it all starts in the bar with their pre starter dishes. Go for everything as all dishes are exceptional. The only issue is that having been there several times we have exhausted the menu. This limits our visits to about two or three times a year. The menu is so pleasing, if you like entertaining cooking for friends, as I do, then every small part of each course is a massive challenge. It really is food perfection.

A most impressive tasting menu and excellent personalised service made for a great evening. The chef was on song, the maitre d genuinely welcoming and the atmosphere relaxed. Highlights were the perfectly cooked duck and the mackerel with caviar. Good wine list as well. Go.

The food is consistently Excellent at this establishment. I can recommend to anyone. The presentation and flavour and quality of the food is second to none on the Island in my opinion. The restaurant has fine sea views. The head waiter Leo cannot do more for you.

Situated in a lovely location right next to the sea and walking distance to a few shops and restaurants. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The view from the sea view room was amazing, very relaxing sitting on the balcony listening to the waves. The room was a good size, and the bed was fairly comfortable. We were seated in the bar area for breakfast, which also had a great view over the sea, and Suzanne made us a delicious breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

We returned to The Hambrough for another romantic weekend away. The food was amazing, the lamb was perfectly pink and so well presented. The caramel apple tart is a feast for the eyes, and that's before you taste it. Our room overlooked Ventnor harbour and out into the Channel. It was a delight to listen to the waves all night and you really can see the passing ships at night from your pillow.

First time we've been to the hambough for a long time, and we have really been missing out, the food was just fantastic and the value for money was unbelievable We will definitely be going back can't recommend this place enough, it is definitely one of the best food places on the Isle of Wight

This is a lovely hotel in an excellent location overlooking the sea. The rooms are very nice and the Restaurant is particularly good, serving high class food. We only had dinner there on one night but the meal was beautifully cooked and presented. The staff in the hotel are also friendly and efficient. Breakfasts were excellent with a varied menu and the main course was cooked to order. Its also in a good location with several restaurants and pubs within walking distance if you want to eat and drink elsewhere on some occasions. We were there for a week and had a really nice time though disappointed that we were switched from the room we had specifically booked (we need a walk in shower) to a different room that didn't have this facility. Hopefully this was a 'one off' mistake rather than a sign of any future problems. In fairness to the hotel they did give us a discount on our final bill in recognition of the problem with the room. Despite the problem with the room I would still highly recommend the hotel as I doubt very much that this is a regular occurrence and it is a lovely hotel.
