Das Duff Green in Vicksburg sucht seinesgleichen, Es war eine phantastische Erfahrung, in einem so geschichtsträgen Gebäude eine Nacht verbracht zu haben. Der Charm des Hauses ist von außen schon zu erkennen, innerhalb ist es genial, Alleine die Zimmer, sehr rustikal eingerichtet, trotzdem klimatisiert, Bäder sehr modern, Der absolute Hammer aber, die Frühstücksräume, so elegant im Stil der 1900er Jahre eingerichtet, Sensationell, das Frühstück wird serviert vom freundlichen Personal, Alles in allem ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, Ich werde das Duff Green auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen, und wenn mich eines Tages die Tour wieder in die Nähe Vicksburg bringen sollte, werde ich auf jeden Fall wieder dort Quartier beziehen

Use a larger watt bulb in the bathroom (Little Annie's room). A note in our room said there was water in the refrigerator in the lobby. We could not find it. Please have Half and Half next to the coffee maker. Nothing worse than powdered creamer. Breakfast was excellent and the tour was informative. I would suggest it to anyone staying at Duff Green Mansion. Enjoyed our stay and would stay with you again.

One of the most beautiful bed and breakfast mansions that I have stayed in. Beautiful antiques throughout the home. Gorgeous pool and hot tub. The delicious breakfast was absolutely stunning on fine china. The staff was amazing and accommodated any needs I had.

The house is beautiful, but the staff went above and beyond for us. We even took a walk around the neighborhood which was so unique and interesting! We picked the room based on the clawfoot bath and it didn’t disappoint! Loved our time there!!

Amazing attention to detail. Harley is truly the “hostess with the mostest”! We arrived famished so she called Anchuca Restaurant and made us an early reservation. Room was comfy and perfect for us. Breakfast was 3 courses, each so delicious and served on fine china. After breakfast we were treated to an historical tour of the mansion. What a special unexpected treat! And all this for a very reasonable price. You just can’t go wrong with! Duff Green Mansion is already on our radar for a return visit.

We were so glad to find Duff Green Mansion. We stayed in the Hideaway apartment. The rooms were charmingly decorated and very cozy. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were luxuriously soft. In the morning we were greeted with a delicious breakfast in the main dining room. Breakfast started with a cup of fruit, then quiche and the best savory grits I ever had. For drinks we had orange juice and perfectly made coffee. All this was brought to us by Latania, who was a gracious hostess and made us feel like family. It was a wonderful experience and I plan on returning to Duff Green Mansion, many more times in the future.

My sister and I recently visited Vicksburg, MS, drawn by its charm and rich history. While the town itself exceeded our expectations with its delightful character, what truly made our trip unforgettable was our stay at the Duff Green Mansion. This quaint bed and breakfast offers spacious rooms beautifully adorned with period furniture, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. On warm afternoons, you can unwind by their lovely pool, adding a touch of relaxation to your stay. One of the highlights of our visit was the breakfast—a true Southern culinary experience. The freshly made biscuits, in particular, were a delicious treat that we looked forward to each morning. What set this experience apart was the exceptional staff, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. Their dedication to hospitality made us feel genuinely cared for. We were so impressed that we are already planning to return for Christmas.

Delicious breakfast at 8:30a each morning, charming rooms, and a must do house tour right in the heart of Vicksburg. There are many things to do nearby and the pool is perfect to cool off after a day of touring the town. The rooms and hotel are historical so keep that in mind when you book your stay, it’s not a Hilton with fancy high end beds, pillows, and amenities, but they are perfectly comfy for a few nights stay.

What a wonderful place. We loved it. It is a beautiful historic mansion with elegant rooms. An amazing breakfast is served at an elegantly dressed table after which a tour around the house with an extremely and professional guide is offered. The mansion is at a perfect location. Definitely a place to stay!

I was in town and was looking for a place to stay. I found the Duff Green, and it was only a few dollars more than a usual hotel, so I thought, why not. The home is filled with antiques, which was neat, and I enjoyed the feel of the history. The bed was super comfortable, and the pillows were perfect. There was a nice looking pool, however I did not use it. The house is in walking distance of the old town of Vicksburg, so an evening walk was relaxing. The breakfast was good, but it was the very pleasant young lady, who made it welcoming. If I ever return to Vicksburg, I will definitely try to stay here again, thank you.

The staff is attentive and the place is amazing! The breakfast was tasty and the amenities were great. We had a wonderful experience! LaTonya is a top notch property manager. She helped make this a vacation we will never forget. The Civil War Museum is a must see and if you eat out while in Vicksburg be sure to visit Rusty’s!

We stayed here for just one night in Little Annie’s room which is a small room on the ground floor, which is easily accessed from parking area. Even though small the room was comfortable for our one night stay. The pool outside was a bonus in this hot weather even though water was quite cold. Breakfast was a highlight. Fresh fruit salad to start followed by Fried Chicken and Waffles, Biscuits, , Juice, Tea & Coffee. Be aware that there are stairs to first floor for breakfast so not so easy for disabled. Quite a suspicious first review there from Katy T going straight in with the sending of reminder texts for breakfast hours, which is an unusual topic to open with... Anyway, this is a nice looking B&B kept in good decorative order. However, I have to echo the concerns of others here. I was told that I had missed the 30 minute breakfast window, and when I replied that I can't have been late as I wasn't told a time I was informed that I would have been sent an SMS with this information. I can guarantee that I wasn't. I did receive 3 emails providing some generic information, as well as telling me that due to covid restrictions there would be no front desk (there was) and that I had a code for the lock-box (there wasn't one) so maybe the comms isn't quite as up to date as they would like to think. Regardless, if there is only a 30 minute window for breakfast and if it's so important for guests to adhere to this very tight restriction, why not mention it verbally at check-in? That's the easiest way, and would remain authentic to how information was relayed back when this building was in its heyday. But this isn't about missing a meal. Despite being made to feel like it was my fault that I hadn't received the mysterious SMS, the waiting staff went beyond to provide me with breakfast. However I wasn't prepared for what happened 15 minutes or so later. Simply chatting to a gentleman sat next to me (who hadn't been late for what it's worth) a tour group entered the room, which felt a bit uncomfortable being watched eating by a dozen or so strangers. We were then admonished to keep our voices down by the guide (I assume one of the owners). She then followed this up with words similar to '...as you were late for breakfast and shouldn't really be in here' in front of the entire group and fellow guests. Now it's been a while since I was told off in front of the school class but I didn't expect these memories to resurface and to be publicly chastised as a paying guest at a B&B, especially for the crime of being 20 minutes late to a breakfast that I was not informed about. If this is how they speak to guests then I really worry for the staff here. Prior to this event, my view of the premises had been that despite the building looking the part I found it to be really quite noisy - every sound, footstep, ringtone, and conversation (and there were many, the office is open plan right outside the rooms), could be heard. Having 4 guest rooms underneath the breakfast floor where furniture is being dragged around is not a pleasant experience either, indeed it forced us out of our room as 45 minutes of this constant screeching above our heads created a feeling of claustrophobia. Generally I prefer to sort these issues out in-house rather than publicly shame as had happened to me, so I did try to speak privately however there was no one to be seen upon check-out so here we are.
