維多利亞大瀑布酒店(The Victoria Falls Hotel)

酒店非常好，食物也很美味。強烈推薦。

一流的酒店房間（套房）以非常合理的標準價格獲得。非常好的早餐和茶以及烤餅和其他蛋糕。非常好的位置和美麗的花園，從那裡你可以看到維多利亞瀑布和大橋的薄霧。疣豬（花園裡的疣豬）。至少嘗試在維多利亞瀑布住一晚。 Lockout餐廳位於不遠處，可欣賞峽谷的美景。

我們在繼續旅行之前在維多利亞酒店住了一晚。我們很早就到了並且能夠提前進入我們的房間。房間非常現代、舒適，床很舒適，淋浴也很棒。早餐有很多種選擇。預訂旅遊很輕鬆，從酒店步行到維多利亞瀑布既方便又安全。喜歡殖民地的感覺。

非常好的體驗。友善的人們為我們服務得很好，酒店裝潢得很漂亮。

Having read various reviews we weren’t expecting the hotel and experience to be as good as we hoped but we were pleasantly surprised! We stayed for x2 nights in a Stables Signature Wing Double Room, prior to embarking on Rovos Rail (that’s a different story) . We found the accommodation to be to an old but very acceptable standard. However, what made the hotel was the charm and character of the building coupled with the friendliness and attentiveness of the entire team. Maybe our experience was a little unique but I would like to personally recognise Christian who went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. Prior to arriving at the hotel, I experienced an old sports back injury making walking and any movement very painful. Within minutes of checking in and without being promoted, Christian took the initiative to start implementing measures to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Within a couple of hours he arranged for a doctor to visit, and the following morning he had sourced a physiotherapist who visited on two occasions to help rectify my back. As a result of Christian going above, and beyond, I was able to participate in all planned activities including visiting Devils Pool. Having stayed in numerous 5*+ hotels all around the world, Christian’s level of personal care and attentiveness compared with the best. We also found the restaurant teams to be good with a special mention needing to be given to Simba and his colleagues for the fine dining experience they provide. However, I think we were lucky as we were the only guests during the entire sitting on the night in question. Based on our experience, we’d certainly recommend The Victoria Falls Hotel as hopefully what we experienced wasn’t a one off!

This was the final stay of a memorable adventure in Africa. With so much history and such an iconic hotel I wanted to be gushing about this experience. However what began as fantastic greeting didn’t pan out to be the case for some aspects. Our rooms were amazing in the Stables Wing. The room boys and porters outstanding along with Edison in the wings lounge. However some of the waiting staff and the hostesses were to say were not really ‘in tune’ with the guests. On one occasion their private conversations were more important than a friendly greeting in the Stanley Bar lounge and an offer of ordering a drink Drink is another sore point. Whilst we fully understood that there could be supply problems in Zimbabwe it surprised us that the most popular beerCastle ran out after our first day and the alternatives were all more expensive. The same re a brand of Sauvignon Blanc that was out of stock at lunch forcing us to buy a more expensive brand but miraculously was available a few hours later fully chilled. Finally we enquired about a guided tour of the falls explaining I had limited mobility and told that the walking would not be a problem. The information intimated that a walk on the bridge would be included Talking to other guests after we booked I decided not to go. No refund and the others never got to walk on the bridge!! I asked the management to contact me. Now in Dubai and still waiting after a promise of the concerns being sorted before we left. No such luck.
