When I got to the building it looks nothing like what was advertised on *******. I understand that there was renovations being done so I can’t complain, but I wish ******* would’ve updated what the building looked like because I thought I pulled up to the wrong hotel and was double checking everything to make sure I was at the right place for like 20 minutes. I’m not going to lie, the building looked a little rundown on the outside but the inside was nice. It’s not the hotels fault about the advertisement photos, I’ll put that blame on *******. Also the pictures of the hotel room showed a fridge in the room I was staying at but there was no fridge to be found at all in the room. So every restaurant I went to I couldn’t bring left overs back to the hotel room which is kind of inconvenient. Like I said, they were doing renovations and the hotel was quite clean which was impressive . It’s kind of hard to keep an area clean while renovating. And the staff was very nice and professional. The area outside of the hotel is pretty standard “southern Illinois friendly” which is great. I did still enjoy my stay at the hotel and I’d still come back knowing what I know now about the place. It’s worth the price.

The staff was friendly. The room was dirty and the bed was lumpy. We had to ask for towels. The room was not vacuumed, beds not made, no fresh towels and the trash was not emptied. I actually wiped down the furniture when I arrived and cleaned the refrigerator. Beds had crumbs.

Old gotten. Old mattress. Clean room. Great shower head. Second best in my girls experience. Enjoying a shower makes a big difference. Friendly service.

Average hotel for the price. I was looking forward to swimmimg, but the pool was closed for renovation. Free breakfast could have been better it only consisted of cereal, toast, and coffee. Staff was very nice and professional. I would stay again.

The online rating of the hotel was misleading. The property, according to staff, has been (partially started) under restoration for a year or more.

Has been under "construction" update for years. Staff is lazy, not helpful. Toilet became clogged and front desk staff provided me with a used toilet plunger in a plastic bag so I could plunge my own toilet. Layers of dust on the furniture. Windows caked over with film. Floors had not been vaccumed for a long time. Checked out after one night.

This served our needs. We were visiting areas in Shawnee National Forest and did not want to drive far between days for lodging during our 2 day visit. They are under construction and making good progress. Staff very kind. It was a good basic room. Had to move furniture a bit to make room for wheelchair to move around and could see some cleaning needed to be done under and around night stand. If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke I would not recommend. First room we were given very smokey. Given another room cheerfully and apolgetically. That room smelled stale but cleared up with AC/fan. But in morning could smell cigarette smell in hallway from overnight guest in one of the rooms. Highly, highly recommend 5 mile drive west to Red Onion Burger Food Truck at corner of RT 146 & Rt 37. If you just need a place to stay and basic comfort, please support as they are the only accessible lodging within 45 min drive if you are within Shawnee area.

The property is in much better shape than it was 3 years ago. They are remodeling and things are shaping up nicely. The room I had was clean and comfortable, although the bed was a little hard and I could feel a bit of the springs. Other than that, they have done a good job of cleaning this location up. I will definitely stay there again.
