We chose the hotel for the beautiful locations, however if you don’t have a car or do not want to take 40 Euro taxis everywhere you are stuck with the same three restaurants and lack of kiosks to buy basic things like water ( which the hotel did not provide. ) The hotel safe used your key card to lock which I thought was problematic as anyone with a card to your room could open the safe. The WiFi was weak, the hotel front desk people were unhelpful and answered every question with people here have money so they don’t take a bus they call a taxi. They had no idea about taking a regular bus anywhere. They told me the hop on hop off bus was 16 euro and I was charged 25– overall out of touch with very basic information like catching a bus into the city. They did have a shuttle but it did not run on Sundays and it was very limited with time and location. We were basically there for the pool., however it was also limited in time. It opens at 10 and closed at 7. I was told the pool closed at 7 PM when the in room brochure said 8 PM When I asked about the discrepancy the response I got was, “This is what they tell us to tell people.” I asked if the ice was made with filtered water, the response after checking and calling back was it is made with regular water. You can not drink tap water in Greece you must buy filtered water- also not provided by the hotel. The breakfast buffet sat in trays all morning. Food was cold, My daughter asked for a paper cup at breakfast because we were going to the airport. They had given one to a Greek couple who asked earlier- they told her no Overall the amount of money we paid was not in line with service. The elitist responses and ignorance of very basic questions and requests was disappointing.

The Divani Apollon Suites are effectively a pension to the main hotel, the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso. We think that some reviews on this page must relate to the main hotel rather than the Suites because they are at odds with our experience, especially when they talk about sea views and spectacular sunsets. Our balcony had a view of the utilities area of the main hotel on the opposite side of the road. The only way we could get a sea view was lean out over the balcony and crane our necks to the left. Even then, it was a thin sliver of sea between the hotels that otherwise blocked our view (check it out on Google Maps). We checked in at the main hotel and were then taken fifty metres up the road, crossing the street to the suites. The lobby of the Suites is impressive but maybe this opulence is intended to distract one from the faint whiff of drains in that area. We took the small lift to our room on the third floor. The room was very average without the feel of luxury we expected from a five-star hotel. We had just left a cruise ship at Piraeus and the bathroom on the ship was bigger than the one at the Suites. The bath is so narrow that we do not know how anyone even slightly overweight could ever fit into it. The breakfast was good and varied and we chose to sit on a narrow veranda outside. Sadly, it looked like nobody had swept under the tables for weeks. The outside area was generally tatty and the constant traffic noise made it a less than relaxing experience. At one point when we were in our room, the Maid attempted to enter, even though the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign was illuminated (perhaps she does not understand English). On another occasion we were called by reception to ask whether someone from maintenance could check our lights, as they were not working properly on our floor. To sum up, we got the impression that the Suites were the poor relation to the main hotel. Yes, you can use all the facilities at the main site and the beach, which were very impressive, but the Suites building is so clearly older and the accommodation certainly does not have the look and feel of a five-star hotel. If you wish to book the Divani Apollon, make sure your room is in the main hotel and not in the Suites building. Reading the description on Trip Advisor, I’m not quite sure why I am supposed to find a ‘minibar, fridge, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi to be ‘romantic’.

Premise: I travel a lot (visiting around 30-40 different hotels around the world every year) and almost never went the way of leaving a review. But had to do it this time given the exceptionally bad situation I found myself in. Hotel is bare bones providing only rooms (if nice and comfortable) and breakfast. I booked via ******* under the understanding that I would have available facilities such as pools, beach and gym but all of those are in the Divani hotel across the street, which is now a separate entity (in fact, you can see them listed as available facilities with pictures here on Tripadvisor too, same fraudulent listing). Hence, you need to pay a charge of 40-50 euros to use each facility. The property is a far cry from a 5 star hotel as it doesn't offer any service aside from accommodation to its guests. When I raised the issue with manager he said I could always upgrade to a Superor Room in the larger property across the street to get access to the facilities. This would cost me an extra 200 euros on top of the 210 I had already paid, bringing the total to a staggering 410 euros (more than an Executive Room in the same hotel when booking via *******). After a fight with the manager and saying I would raise a complaint with ******* about their misselling / fraudulent behaviour, the manager finally apologised and offered free use of the facilities. One of the worst experiences of my many travels.

We were guests of the hotel for 3 nights when not only us but also two other couples have faced the same issues: rooms were not cleaned. When calling the reception to ask for water ( the one that needs to be refilled) all of us received the same answer” you pushed a red button that is why we did not clean the room and brought you water”. No one has pressed any button whatsoever, although we faced a terrible experience after leaving the hotel, they charged us more by mistake. Still, we just wanted our invoice but when calling everyone has simply hanging the phone in our faces. I do not recommend this hotel. Terrible way of communication, stuff totally unfriendly and a total mess. Stay away from this place as it is a nightmare!!

Beware the fraudulent listing of this hotel. It shows pictures of pools, beach umbrellas and sunbeds as well as listing them as facilities when in reality these are found in the sister Divani hotel across the road. As they now are separate entities you will be required to pay between 40 and 50 euros to use each facility. The Divani Apollion Suites is a bare and bone hotel providing just rooms and breakfast, no other facility or amenity. It is listed as a 5 star hotel but I have serious doubts on the veracity of this claim seeing as the hotel offers absolutely no service to its guests. Bottom line: avoid, there are much better options in the area for the same or better price.

The Front desk clerk on duty the evening of July 16, 2023 was a complete fraud and clown. he tried to give me a regular room and insisted it was a suite. He should be terminated for incompetence. I demanded to see more rooms until I was given the room I paid for and advertised on their website. It took him an additional 15 minutes to register my reservation information and produce a room key, even though I completed a pre registration form a week earlier and prepaid the entire stay months in advance. Who wants to wait 15 minutes for a key card? This entire process took 30 minutes between the key and viewing rooms. Unacceptable!! The Divani Apollon Suites is a completely independent entity from Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso Hotel. Although front desk staff clearly stated we had use of the facilities next door, the staff at the Palace demanded fees for use of any facilities. €70 for pool lounge chairs per day. Comically, our room contains a folio outlining services for the sister Palace hotel...completely misleading and down right fraudulent. Service and attitude from the restaurant staff was cold, at best at the breakfast buffet. We never saw the restaurant open for dinner ad they claim. The new pool area is more of a reflecting/design pool and not a swimming pool. The sun doesn't hit the pool until after 2pm. A total of 4 lounge chairs are available. Room appointments are at least 10-12 years old. Hardwood floors are dingy and dirty looking and furnishings are old. There are no ocean views, although the suites pictured on their website show an ocean outside the balcony door.. The lobby area is clean and somewhat inviting, and the outside areas in front of the hotel are clean and orderly. Needless to say, we checked out after two days. I would suggest you stay elsewhere.

Apollon Suites feels like the classy younger sibling to the ginormous Divani Thalasso next door and across the street. Apollon suites felt luxurious, very clean, very accessible, and private - we were able to lounge by the pool a few times, and barely had company, although it is small. Complimentary breakfast 10/10. Area of Vouliagmeni is a dream! Stay here if you want to explore Athens- a dream to come back to after hustle and bustle of the city center. Apollon beach also impressive and just 15💶 per chair. This hotel was our “splurge” of the trip for 2 nights and was ABSOLUTELY worth it.

The property falsely advertise access to beach, but forgot to disclose that charge to use beach100 euro from each person! Also they advertise the pool, but what they called pool is a fountain!!!Pool is across the street half block up at the Divani palace, and cost 65 euro from each person that is not disclosed. Also they advertise shuttle to airport, but they do not have it!!
