A welcome resting place after 2 days of challenging travel conditions. We had a Twin Studio Motel for myself and my daughter which was very comfortable for our 1 night stay. The unit was set behind bushes so that even though the park was busy we had our privacy. The unit was small but everything worked perfectly and we both had a much needed good night's sleep. My only reservation is that it is a 15 minutes walk from the ferry terminal which is tiring with luggage as there is no taxi service. However this is no problem if you are ok with this or have a vehicle.
The apartment hotel is near the pier, convenient and quiet. The hotel's entrance is a bit difficult to find. I still ask a bar next to the hotel to know. I have to call and then come to the staff to explain the various uses of the apartment. The room is clean and quite satisfactory
Please don’t have any ideas of grandeur. This was a basic, functional one night only hotel. The room was very small, we were on the road side so it was a bit noisy but more importantly, it was cold. The sun was on the other side of the hotel and much quieter. It was Anzac day the following morning,we were awoken by the parade at some early hour. But, it was Anzac Day so we were not in any way upset. It was a bit difficult getting to the room as the lift configuration was designed by someone who clearly was not a traveller, did not know how large or how much luggage people have and provided a very small lift which was hidden behind what looked like service doors. W e did not eat at the hotel but there was a restaurant available. On the plus side, it was not too far from the ferry terminals.
