A lovely hotel with friendly staff and comfortable and clean room. We could’ve also used the attached pool and spa for free but didn’t have time. Meals were beautiful and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We would definitely return and stay longer next time

We had our wedding here on 21.09.2024 Sheldon is the wedding coordinator of dreams. Can not thank him enough for making our day as special as it was. Communication before, during and after was 100% The hotel itself is perfect, every single staff member goes the extra mile and they are an absolute credit to the hotel. The food- we ate at the restaurant the evening before and the food was outstanding The wedding breakfast- oh my!!! Every guest complimented how amazing the food was. The rooms are spacious clean comfortable. The bridal suite is huge!! The bathroom is the best hotel bathroom we've stayed at the bed is lush!! If we could do our day again there is nothing we would change

Stayed here overnight when attending a function at the venue. Easy to find, free car parking, smooth check-in. Room was perfect - good sized bed, if a little hard , plenty of tea and coffee (and a choice of milk) and we'll appointed bathroom - only thing missing in the bathroom was a shower mat. Comfortable night sleep and a very good breakfast the following morning . Topped off with friendly staff made this a perfect event. Would definitely use again if I needed a hotel on this area.

What a wonderful Sunday lunch, very tasty carvery, loved the food and the atmosphere. Very very good service from the waiting staff, they are very well trained and I complimented the team after lunch. Thank you again all. We will come back. Diolch.

A truly well run, warm and welcoming hotel that is a credit to everyone that works there. As someone that travels a lot for business, staying at a hotel that is truly welcoming and genuinely friendly is actually quite rare. Every single member of staff was friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble - every single request was handled with a smile and genuine want to help. The food is exceptional, hearty and fresh and a real credit to the hotel. The rest areas are clean, comfortable and warm and the bar has a great selection of drinks for all tastes, again all served with a smile. The bedrooms are clean, well presented and has everything you need for a restful nights sleep. Very much I felt like this was a home from home.

We got married at the diplomat hotel on Saturday 7th September 2024. Sheldon has been amazing since the day we booked our wedding, nothing was ever to much. He is a very professional wedding Coordinator. Sheldon created such a beautiful wedding ceremony, reception and evening party rooms look amazing you and your team worked so hard to make our day so special. Everyone said how stunning the food was, staff were all so friendly. We couldn’t have wished for anything better was one of the best days of our lives finally getting to become Husband and wife. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all staff who were responsible for making Rachel and Marks day so special and memorable on Saturday. From Sheldon who worked tirelessly to bring their special day to life to the bar and catering staff who were so friendly and welcoming and also to the housekeeping team who offered their services and provided last minute requests. Thanks to the reception staff and Paul and the management team, it was a wonderful day and I will have no hesitation in recommending the hotel as an excellent venue for celebrating the meaningful events in our lives. We stayed at the Diplomat hotel for 4 nights on a coach trip and what a warm and welcoming place it is! It was so lovely to stay at a family run hotel with character and individuality and such friendly and helpful staff. We looked forward to our home cooked dinner every evening in the restaurant. The food was delicious! We would definitely recommend this hotel, it really is quite charming.
