華盛頓大使館套房酒店 - 切維蔡斯館(Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC Chevy Chase Pavilion)

Endroit très propre, très bon déjeuner inclus, consommation alcoolisée gratuite en soirée avec grignotines. Pas d’épicerie ou de dépanneur proche. Peu de choix de restaurant. Il y a une cuisinette à la chambre mais pas de vaisselle. Employés à la réception sont bêtes et on semble toujours les déranger quand on s’y présente.

My parents frequently traveled here when my Dad was working in the DC area when I was a child. On my way traveling 95 I always try to get a room here, even if I have to drive more time, as a stopping point. The hotel is clean, has a good breakfast, and easy access to the Red Line on the Metro system.

This was our second time staying here( first was in 2019). It was sad to see the area changed a lot after Covid. There were no more stores in the building where the hotel was located. However the hotel was still pretty good. Sad to see the bar area, Willy’s closed down. The breakfast buffet was still really good with lots of hot food and variety. Happy hour still happening but on a much smaller scale. Rooms were same but our bathtub was chipped. My two kids (14/11) fit fine on the pullout sofa. Love the location for having the metro station right underneath for travel to DC Center.

I didn’t like the fact that they never change the sheets on the bed. I was there for a week & saw the same stain on the sheets. Also, the check out time was posted as 12pm & they made me leave at 11am. And didn’t allow extended check out which was bad considering I was flying back so late.

Bathroom shower was clogged and caused the water to pool at our feet. On the second day it was so bad we called for maintenance to fix it. He came and pulled out clumps of gunk and hair that was thrown in the shower and the toilet. He proceeded to Wipe off everything with the towels from our room. We asked about cleaning and he wiped some more with the same towels and said he was not using chemicals. We called for house keeping and the front desk did it over the radio for everyone to hear including us. The maintenance guy radioed back and said they should bring chemicals to clean the bathroom. No one came. After an hour we called again and were told house keeping was on break!!! They said they would come as soon as they got back. Needless to say no one ever came! In the morning we called again and the same front desk person who had went home for the night and came back put in for house keeping again. Then we were told they don't arrive until 9 am. By 10 we just packed up since checkout was 12 anyway. We go out the door and see housekeeping cleaning other rooms. Crazy!!! Then we go to checkout and the front desk says its sorry and the manager does not arrive until 12 and did we want to wait. Yeah that's the solution sit dirty in a lobby to speak with a manager for 2 hours!!! Then we give our number and no calls. We Call at 12 and they say they won't be in until 2. Don't stay here!

We’ve stayed here before and we will come back. Comfortable rooms, amazing breakfast, right above Metro station and attentive and friendly staff. We did have a lot of construction noise with demo across the street, but it’s a city hotel so can’t really be helped.

We were shocked by the way the property is maintained. After check in we reported that the faucet handle in the bath tub was broken and it was dificult to find a pisition that would close the water. 3 days later coming back from the 4th of July celebration when taking shower this faucet handle collapsed and the bathtub started quickly filling with steaming hot water. Thank God our kids weren't hurt. There was no maintenance guy since it was midnight already. He wouldn't be needed if they would've fixed the faucet during those 3 previous days. So we had a sleepless night because we had to move to another room at midnight with 2 toddlers in their cribs. The way Hilton tru to resolve this issue was a disgrace to Hilton itself. I got a call from their manager, I said I can't talk since my baby is sleeping and asked if I could call her in 1 hour, to what she replied that she's leaving for the day and her decision is to give us 2 days of parking and that's it, good bye. We stayed at this hotel before, and it was good, but our recent experience was far from pleasant. The negligence of staff to safety issues in the room is unexplainable.

Although the location and staff were wonderful, the mattress and bedding were terrible, cheap and less than one would expect at an Embassy Hotel. This caused a poor sleeping experience and a sore back. I expected a quality mattress and luxury bedding. What received was the opposite.
