摩納哥華盛頓特區金普頓酒店(Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC, an IHG Hotel)

Everyone there was so friendly and made me feel very welcome! For me, location was 10/10 - right across the National Portrait Museum/American Art. Walking distance to majority of sights.

The hotel is an old building so it had a smell once you get to the rooms, It’s not a modern hotel. My initial room was not thoroughly cleaned. A used cup and a used face mask was left in the room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and switch my room. Overall not a fan of this particular hotel.

Perfectly located for our needs, clean and friendly. A/C very effective and welcomed. We are used to travelling in Europe and so have got used to in-room facilities such as complimentary tea and coffee, more extensive clothes hanging spaces and drawers. The furniture in our room 351, seemed a little worn and tired. Bathroom door didn't close completely and so on.

A historic hotel in the heart of DC. Very convenient and walkable to restaruants, shopping, and tourist sites. The staff was very friendly and helpful, checking in and out was quick and efficent. The valet parking service was also gast and friendly. Will definitely be staying here again.

We had a great experience but there was no bathrobe's in the room no wine and the restaurant was closed other than that it was pretty good.

Delivers the style you expect from a Hotel Monaco - very chic and cool. Nice happy hour reception in the lobby, nice staff, But also just some odd things that I chalk up to design and property owner decisions and policies: we paid for a suite and really only got a slightly larger than normal room… and were told we’d need to contact ******* about it. (On a day when 700 flights are canceled, I don’t need to gum up *******’s customer service with another call - and the room was fine enough - no need to create a lot of drama - so I didn’t bother - but I don’t recommend paying for the suite,) Old building, so there are very few easy to access wall outlets; the only place to charge a phone was in a table outlet that didn’t seem to work well. Bar in the restaurant isn’t very big, happy hour was only served at the bar so if you couldn’t squeeze in you were out of luck (while there were lots of empty tables around - why not let those be ok for happy hour at least until 6 or so, when dinner starts?) And when we tried the bar later, it was awkward again - one closed early (we finally got a seat only to he told, “we’re closed…. ) pushing everyone to the other - where there was no space. All of that said: the staff are incredibly nice and they do their best to make you feel welcome - the hotel just has some weird design features and policies that keep it off-balance. Rooms are quiet, which is impressive given the location by the arena, location is convenient.

We enjoyed the overall look of the hotel and decor. The Dirty habit restaurant was beautiful with great food. We will be back!

Hidden charges ($95 per night) coupled with $65 fee for valet made 2 night stay considerably more expensive than expected.
