The hotel staff were wonderful from beginning to end. The room was incredibly spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It is in a historic district and has some quirks associated with it like steps into the entry and an elevator just slightly bigger than a phone booth (there are two, one is tiny and the other is small—about 5 people tightly pack the larger one). The bathroom is a little disappointing but I suspect it’s to maintain the authentic era. It could be enlarged and improved. The WiFi is TERRIBLE!! I’d say 1 star. It was the worst part of my trip since I had some work to do. It is not stable and not strong. To accomplish anything took more than 5xs the effort. I felt very safe there, and there are so many great eateries and stores like Whole Foods and CVS withi;steps of the place. The wet bar could use some flatware. It had a refrig in the room, but even a spoon for a yogurt, a knife to cut an apple, or something simple would’ve been helpful, plus some soap to wash the dishes. Also,it was strange to have just one robe in the room when I arrived. The sofa was also a little tired and TV was not great but those were so minor. The WiFi was definitely an inconvenience and should be addressed.
