Unit was clean, well-equipped and comfortable. The building is wonderfully well located within the Waterville valley Village -prime location for all activities. Only drawback: seems to cater to large loud groups as they are always present and make the common areas not very restful.

We went Oct 2025 for a hockey tournament, we love Waterville valley, this was our first time at the golden eagle lodge, we enjoyed our stay, we stayed in one of the suits which has the most beautiful views and was incredibly spacious. My only complaint is not against the golden eagle but the owner of the condo we stayed in. The wall to wall carpet is bunching up in various places and it’s absolutely filthy. Many of the screens had holes in them letting bugs in, the weather was amazing so we wanted the windows open but would come back to flys and stink bugs. Next visit I’ll try a different room.

This pace “could” be a 5 star resort. The resort and grounds are picture perfect and the town square is adorable. The lobby is clean and quaint, and the staff is friendly. BUT, the owners of each individual unit should be held accountable for the accommodations they offer. STAY AWAY FROM UNIT 423. The whole unit smelled. Dirty, stained carpet; unmatched furniture that is bubbled and peeling; and beds that I didn’t want to touch. We were moved to UNIT 513, and it was clean, well appointed, and cared for. We loved it!

Stayed here as part of a hockey tournament. Nice location, just a couple of minutes walk over a bridge into town. How accessible this would be in the dead of winter I am not sure. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo. It was two floors, with the lower floor having a complete kitchen, a small kitchen table, a work table and a sitting area. Up some rather steep stairs were two bedrooms as well as a daybed with a trundle. Overall it was a comfortable place to stay for a long weekend. While we were there the pool was under renovation, but we were able to go to the athletic club to use their pool (which was a very short distance away). The hotel does attract a lot of youth hockey teams, and while they do have rules about quiet time we did find one night that there were loud kids in the hallway until about 11PM. Overall it’s not super fancy, but clean, conveniently located and reasonably priced, and we’d have no issue returning.

We stayed in Unit 500 and it was DISGUSTING. There were stains all over the carpet rips in pillows on couches no airflow and all mismatched furniture. The blinds were dirty and dusty. Our family did not want to take our shoes off. The outside of the hotel and the lobby are quite deceiving. The food at the outside was good along with the coffee and gift shop. Perhaps there are some units that have been upgraded?

My wife and I stayed at Golden Eagle Lodge for the weekend and it was fabulous! We arrived a couple of hours early, but Gina at the front desk looked up our room to see if it was ready, and it was. We were in room 302 and we loved it! Gina told us that it was recently renovated by the owner of the unit and it was wonderful. There is a queen bed with bunk beds in the bedroom, a full kitchen with all new appliances and a wonderful living room with a nice couch and chairs in front of the TV, with local channels and a Fire TV setup with Netflix, Prime TV, etc. The view of the mountains from the room was very nice. There is an air conditioner in the bedroom that we never used because it was so nice and comfortable with the windows open day and night. We did use the indoor pool and it was nice, but a bit on the cool side. We have been coming to Waterville Valley for years and have stayed at Golden Eagle a few times. The Freedom Pass gives you so many options in the summer from mountain bikes, paddle boats, chair lift rides up Snow's Mountain, golf at the 9 hole course and of course the Athletic Club with the indoor and outdoor pools.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Golden Eagle Lodge at Waterville Valley. We were up north for my son’s hockey tournament and wanted to share this review so others will not be caught off guard with the quality of their room as we were. I do understand that this resort is a timeshare where rooms are individually owned, but our room was so dingy, dated and worn that it should be an embarrassment to the establishment to allow such a low standard of quality. Everything was marked up, banged up and a random hodgepodge of low quantity decor. My room description said “best available” and I can say that this room was worse than staying in a very basic 2-3 star off the highway chain. Management was less than attentive and could have cared less when concerns were gently shared. Don’t make the same mistake as me and research other options in the area. My room was 311.

The property looks great from the outside & the location is amazing. You are walking distance from the athletic center (pool, spa, tennis, & coyote grill) and also have town square at your finger tips. Town square has the ice skating rink, x-county ski center & general store. The room we were assigned to however was very tired. Issues ranged from springs sticking out of the mattress, the window shades in the bedroom being inoperable, the shower itself lacks a shower head and also doesn’t drain, a broken toaster and no kitchen towels. The 1 bedroom is spacious and adequate for a family of 4 or 6.

Stayed in room 400. The room is updated, well-stocked, and has excellent views! Its a corner unit so it was also pretty quiet. Would highly recommend. Just a short walk to hiking trails, the athletic club, and the town square.

Had to change reservation due to change of plans. They were very inflexible and not cooperative to work with. Kept my deposit, a full night, and would not work with me. Next time i will stick to larger chains who work with you when there are changes. I will avoid this place in the future.
