All good except low quality toilet paper. Also for hygiene purpose, hope the hostel can let customers stop using same hand towel and install dryer instead of.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our family was unable to follow through with our booking at 'The Dwellington' for two nights Thursday 20th - 21st of April. According to 'The Dwellington's' cancellation policy, us being out of the 24-hour period, we knew we would be charged for our first night regardless. We were happy for this to take place. However, we needed confirmation that we would receive a refund for our second night. In the hope to speak to someone at 'The Dwellington' I rang 6 times on Thursday evening, and 7 times on Friday morning. I was most upset that no one answered their telephone, or took the time to call us back ( although their answering message says that they would call us back). We didn't have a lot of time but decided to go to The Dwellington in person. The crazy one-way street systems in Wellington are mind-blowing, and frustrating to say the least. After the trouble we went through to get to the Dwellington the receptionist told us we had been E-mailed to inform us we had received a refund for our second night. If you had spent 5 minutes giving us a phone call (the same amount of time it may take for an E-male) I would have appreciated this, and you would have saved us a lot of trouble and stress.

Great stay! The hostel is wonderful and beautiful set up. The shared bathrooms were very clean, and the shared kitchen and yard were a great hang out area. The walls were very thin and all the doors slam closed which made for a long night. Parking is either just in front or just around the corner of the street for cheap. They also had a breakfast with great options! Staff were friendly and willing to help if we had any issues!

What a great place to stay. The Dwellington is a really friendly, comfortable, well equipped hostel in the heart of Wellington. It is close to a supermarket and an excellent outdoor swimming pool. The hostel has its own tennis court, a cinema and laundry. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and a comprehensive breakfast is included. Everything is kept spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We would certainly recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Wellington.

It’s been more years than I care to remember when I last shared bathrooms and toilets but, this was a very comfortable stay even if only for one night. The weather in Wellington was awful when we arrived so rather than walks as we’d planned, we managed to get a taxi. Just as well, as it seemed further than Google maps suggested and it was definitely not a flat walk. We’d arrived late due to train delays but our room card was waiting and we found our way to our room. Lugging heavy suitcases with us we noticed many of the younger residents were travelling a lot more lightly than we were. The room was clean and comfortable, more than adequate for our one night. Staff were helpful throughout. Breakfast was just enough for us and the hostel were happy enough for us to stay in the lounge area once we’d received news that our ferry crossing to Picton was also delayed. They arranged a shuttle/taxi/Uber for us to get to the ferry terminal as well. Great service.

Super endroit, bien placé dans Wellington ( 10 minutes pied gare routiere ) L'équipe est très accueillante, les locaux sont joliment décorés et propres. Le petit déjeuner compris était excellent et complet! Les enfants s'y sont sentis bien (10 et 14 ans) L'accès gratuit au cours de tennis (avec pret de raquettes) est un vrai plus! Je recommande !

Tastefully furnished, good clean facilities and well equipped kitchen. Good selections of continental breakfast. Has an in house cinema! Lovely room, beds are comfortable and extra blanket upon request. Only 15 mins walk to train station.
