Very friendly and welcoming, accommodating staff who are helpful with requests and a fab location right in the centre. Nice breakfasts. Rooms are exceptional value, albeit some areas / parts of the rooms are a little rough around the edges. Would definitely visit again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Very nice hotel with friendly staffs.

An authentic Faulty Towers experience for brave guests who like being degraded for their own money! No working WiFi, you'll be lucky if TVset in your room works and the room door open without force. Room 4 is designed to infuriate guests - it's a former fire exit with a green escape light on all night and a glass door that leads to a fire staircase. According to one of the managers to open room 4 door you need to kick or push it... Room 7 is less cold then room 4, because there's just a single window frame there, but it gets stuck and only staff knows how to "wiggle" it down. It's above a beer garden, meaning you'll be enjoying drucken conversions till well after midnight and a member of staff will definitely tell you that the people downstairs have the right to be there, but they will eventually leave. Keep in mind, there are no dedicated members of staff who look after 15 guest rooms. You have to beg for help at the bar and be prepared to hear the same reply "we are very busy at the bar to help you upstairs" to switch on/ fix/ open one of many broken appliances upstairs...(pictures on the website were taken probably 20 years ago) Cleaners doesn't mop or even vacuum clean the floor, don't dust surfaces; and they occasionally make your bed with your socks being left under a duvet, on some occasions they don't show up at all. However, cooked breakfast was good, on the day, when the cook didn't show up, there was really not much to choose from. You'll need eyemask, earplugs

Ive stayed hwre several times in the past as l visit my brother,the rooms are comfortable altho sometimes dusty,the staff are friendly & welcoming too,its perfectly situated for easy access to wells high street,full of character this place is definately worth a visit.......

Amazing historic inn in wonderful central location just across from the cathedral! Staff were exceptionally helpful and we got the feeling that the place was being gradually updated with much enthusiasm. The craft beers at the bar were incredible and it was a perfect place to stay to savour the delights of Wells.

Very friendly staff. Large warm, comfy room. Very comfy bed and quiet at night even though there was a function going on. Very good food at good prices.

Lovely selection of beers in the pub, 20 guest beers! Breakfast was fine. The bed was very comfy. The bathroom was outdated and freezing cold. Friendly and helpful staff though.

Wonderful hotel in the middle of Wells a few strides away from the Cathedral, The Market Square and Shops. Had lots of fun in the bar because the Cam Valley Morris Men were in attendance, entertaining.

It was my first time staying since the recent refurbishment and change of owners, and it is fantastic.

Excellent value .. perfectly fine room .. lovely cooked breakfast .. scrambled eggs were amazing!!

impossible to contact duty manager via phone or email. tried day before arrival and day of arrival . told them in advance in no uncertain terms that I needed a twin room and was given a double. Horrendous. I was forced to sleep in the same bed as a work colleague. Abysmal service. I would not recommend and require a refund.

An absolutely charming and understated hotel in Wells, UK...The staff goes above and beyond and deserve to be in the Golden Key International Honour Society!!!...right across from the Mary Magdalene Chapel...feet away from the amazing Goodfellows restaurant...a two minutes walk from the Bishop's Palace where the famous Swan's Grace & Gabriel who abide there and ring a bell to be fed as well as entertain the townspeople with a wander around the marketplace...and all the lovely shopping and quaint charm of Wells, UK..including a fabulous Farmer's Market on Saturdays...My favourite place to stay in Wells and getaway in the UK...

這座建築相當破舊，公共區域的地毯破舊不堪，尤其是主樓梯處 (!) 但床非常舒適，迎接我並帶我到我房間的年輕人非常友好和樂於助人.試圖拿到開門的鑰匙時遇到了一個大問題，但最終還是進入了房間。地理位置優越，位於韋爾斯大教堂西側。雖然沒有早餐，當我退房時已經被遺棄並被鎖上了，所以把鑰匙放在一個白色的小盒子裡，這個盒子並沒有說明是鑰匙存放處，但我只是覺得把它們放在那裡比把他們留在房間裡。總而言之，真的有點奇怪，但是一個可愛的房間，很小但是有一個很好的淋浴間（雖然淋浴間的通風風扇防護罩已經脫落了一半，他們要向我收取每瓶10英鎊的費用以使用他們的洗漱用品，所以我就用了我自己洗漱包裡的東西。） 這不是四星級的體驗，但我沒有支付 4 * 的價格，所以總的來說我覺得物有所值，位置不錯，而且將來肯定會很樂意再來過夜。

Behind the decorative facade there lies a pub and a courtyard littered with beer kegs not a welcoming sight en route to the rooms. It was a difficulty start gaining access to a room key, the lockbox was empty until ‘duty manager’ disbelievingly tried himself and then hastily produced one. The room was clearly in need of refurbishment. The door glass was cracked, the carpet and curtain stained and both table lamps required bulbs, indeed one blew the bulb when switched on, clearly needing an electrician to check. I told the manager who replied that only if there were replacements in the store. Obviously not, no action. It was evident and confirmed by email 24 hours earlier that there was a staff shortage but it should mean refusing reservations not a degradation of service. I’m afraid the hotel owners/management need to serious raise their game in the beautiful tourist city of Wells particularly if they wish to attract overseas tourists. I would not recommend the hotel in the current state. A disappointing weekend.
