A lovely warm welcome. It was a stopover for me whilst visiting family but I wish I could have had time for a longer stay & enjoy an evening meal. The room was spacious & comfortable so quiet too with everything catered for. A lovely bathroom with good shower & all extremely clean. Nice, fluffy, large towels & crisp, fresh bed linen. Fabulous breakfast & plenty of it with good quality cooked & selection of breakfast cereals, yoghurts etc. I could hear a radio in the kitchen but it would have been nice to break the silence in the breakfast room as I could hear the one, other guest eating & felt it was a little awkward but I’m being picky. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

This is a belated review but I’m a bit puzzled by the one or two less than positive reviews on here. Stayed here two nights. The room on the ground floor is huge, the bed also huge & extremely comfortable. Tea & coffee making facilities provided. All super clean, massive bathroom/shower room. Staff really kind & helpful. Breakfast superb with fresh local produce. Value for money outstanding. Give the Airbnb a skip & stay here instead, you won’t regret it.

Still brilliant after 20 years. Food is excellent quality and value. Just had lunch with some friends and they can't stop raving about it. I recommend it everyone as one of the Valleys hidden gems. Easily beats all the big names.in the area. love this place.

We just called on Friday night to sit in their garden to enjoy a quick drink in the sunshine . My friends went in to the pub to fetch drinks they was asked by a grumpy old man what they wanted and he was informed they only wanted drinks they was told to sit in the garden and drinks would be brought to the table. When he arrived with the drinks and the bill in hand it was clear we was not wanted there he heavily handed put the drinks on the table and brought a drink that was wrong and when told it was wrong stormed off to have it replaced . It was clear from the onset we was not welcome or maybe this is just his way last time we was here a few weeks previously we had tried the food which was ok but this latest visit has definite put us of going ever again there just no need for bad customer service and to bring a bill out with the drinks ( like we was going to run away and not pay) is just bad manners

Stayed for a couple of nights whilst attending a wedding at nearby Eaves Hall. The room was very large and very clean. The Queen sized bed was enormous and very comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was a very nice experience with attentive wait staff and good food. Breakfast on both days was very good. I would definitely stay here again. It is well placed for exploring the Ribble Valley or visiting Clitheroe.

Stayed for 2 nights room lovely with a huge wet room bathroom clean comfortable modern room. Ate in the restaurant food excellent local produce home cooked. Breakfast cooked to order excellent too. Can’t fault staff. Generally a nice couple of nights away.

Table for two. Early evening 27 April 2024. This place has gone downhill since our last visit last year. We had a main course and dessert. Starting with the dessert. My partner ordered Sticky toffee pudding. This was delivered in a large black bowl that turned out to be so hot...she would have finished up in A&E if she had attempted to pick it up. The fact that the pudding was welded to the dish was a dead giveaway for microwave cooking. Not what we expected. Main courses One chicken dish. Dry and clearly pre prepared. One pork belly with bury black pudding (well something from Bury about the size of 2p and as thick in a poor batter coating). Pork was incorrectly cooked with soft skin that should have arrived as crackling and thick layers of fat that had not rendered down. Maybe we should have ordered something simple like chips. Overall poor and wont be going back any time soon. Has The 3 Millstones changed hands? Something has certainly happened since we were there previously.

Beautiful spacious room in outbuilding spotlessly clean with a huge bed and lovely shower this was a last minute booking and unbelievable value tea and coffee provided and breakfast was delicious staff very friendly.The restaurant interior was very pretty as was the surrounding village, did not have an evening meal but the menu looked good 100% recommend

Room was in an outbuilding just near the main old inn. Recently completed or refurbished by the look of things. Very clean and comfortable. Lovely big comfy bed. En-suite with wet room and tea/coffee facilities. We are in the restaurant one night. Was a little pricey but great food. A bit chilly at the end we were sat. Breakfast was lovely and the guy was very polite and friendly. A decent stay if your in the area. Would recommend the rooms that are separate from the main building although not seen those ones. Free parking and one electric charging point.

booked 3 rooms to attend a family wedding, the staff were super helpfull in organising a ground floor room for the old folks. allowed us to check in early and out late at no extra cost. Rooms were super clean and warm. All the staff could not be more helpful. Breakfast was fast hot and very very tasty with lots of local produce. The only downside was that we never got to sample the evening menu as the smells from the kitchen were gorgeous, but we will be back to sample them.

The old white man-made very disparaging remarks about me to the chef in the kitchen about my physical appearance and food choices at breakfast which I could easily overhear. I felt humiliated and intimidated as a solo traveller and left immediately. I would not feel comfortable staying there alone again with him there.

We just had a one night stay here and absolutely loved it. We had a booking in April but unfortunately had to reschedule, the staff were very kind and let us move to a date of our choice. Such a beautiful cosy room, with everything you could need. Best night sleep I’ve had in ages in the comfiest bed, plus an excellent and large shower. Little touches like having an adjustable vanity mirror on the dresser and a little chocolate each with a fresh bottle of water waiting for us were much appreciated! We didn’t stay for breakfast as had plans but it was included in the price which we thought was very affordable given what a perfect room we had. We have recommended to our friends who we were visiting for them to suggest to any future visitors!

We had a lovely stay here for a wedding nearby at Eaves Hall. Our room was nicely furnished with all the regular facilities plus an iron and board. Enquiries prior to and on arrival were quickly and professionally dealt with. Great, piping hot, full English breakfast on Sunday set us up for the day. Would definitely return if visiting the area again.

What a beautiful place. The night we arrived, we had a meal in the restaurant and it was truly divine. They literally couldn’t do enough for you. They catered for everything. The food was divine (chef, you are the poached egg legend!). The accommodation was so cute and cosy. Again, everything you needed was there….even the consideration of supplying decaff tea and coffee in the rooms. Best 2 nights sleeps in any hotel I’ve stayed at. Was also lovely to sit out in the decking area late into the night (especially with how hot it’s been). Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. The staff were so welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
