We stayed for a night and had a nice visit. Everyone we interacted with (front desk and servers in the dining room) were extremely friendly. We stayed in room 17 upstairs. It was large and although warm when we arrived, had a great air conditioning unit that cooled the room down quickly. The dinner was good (don’t miss the Mac and cheese in a crock!) and breakfast was great. The Inn is easily accessible from the main road but still feels remote when you’re on campus. One thing to note is there is a cat that roams the interior of the property (even when you’re eating). Some will find this charming, others might not. The building is very well maintained. We would stay here again for sure.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoy coming to the Chesterfield Inn. We first visited in 2011 and have been hooked on this inn since then. It is so nice to check into familiar surroundings and be welcomed by gracious inn owner, Judy Hueber, and perhaps receive a hello purr and sleepy stretch from Yoda, the inn’s cat and official lobby ambassador. We love room 21 in the Johanna Wetherby Building and look forward to its many amenities and tranquil view of the small pond and surrounding woods. This is a Select Registry inn so the quality you expect is here!! There are so many places that call you to relax at the Chesterfield Inn whether it is enjoying coffee or drinks on your own private deck, taking in the fall colors from one of the Adirondack chairs tucked into the inn’s landscape, or cozying up to the warm fireplaces found throughout the inn. I love the on site restaurant and the available room service option for breakfast and dinner especially if you have mobility issues. It definitely saved me many steps and the meals were delicious!! The staff are always so kind and willing to make your trip memorable. Be sure to book well ahead of time for foliage season. I am already looking forward to my week in October 2026.

Our stay at the Chesterfield Inn was wonderful… comfortable, welcoming, with every need or request met. The environment is cozy, set on beautiful property and when we visited the vivid fall colors added to the ambience. The staff was kind, accommodating and always willing to fulfill a request (like a full pot of coffee to our room right as the clock struck 7am.) Breakfast was delicious!

Chesterfield Inn was the absolute perfect choice for our rehearsal dinner. Judy and her team were incredibly accommodating and the food was delicious. The rooms are clean and spacious, providing a comfortable stay for our out-of-state guest. We highly recommend the Chesterfield Inn.

My husband and I eloped at the Chesterfield Inn! Judy & the entire staff were so attentive and warm! Every little detail and gesture was so considerate of us. From the chef making a special request meal to the beautiful flowers and cake everything was perfect!

Great place for a quiet get away. Well maintained and service was exceptional. Every staff member seem to go overboard in providing outstanding service and insure your time with them was top notch. Dinner was delicious - again service could not have been better and breakfast, to order, just as great. My wife and I agree - it’s a great place for couple to visit.

A relaxing and delightful 3 days of get away. Great service, specially prepared breakfasts and 2 delicious dinners. A fine restaurant!!! Cookies and coffee in afternoon, quiet porch under umbrellas and beautiful sunsets. The room was spacious and well appointed.

We spent two nights at the inn. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, cozy, and warm. We had a delicious breakfast delivered to our room. The staff was amazing. And we had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant on our first night. We plan to visit again next year.

This is such a special Inn. We were in the area for a wedding, but would go back just to stay here. Our room was beautifully appointed, super comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast the next morning (included in the room rate) was absolutely delicious with plenty of options, not a buffet, but you order off the menu and it was just delightful, all of it.

My daughter and I look for an elegant dining experience when she is here to visit. Our usual choice was closed, so I thought we might try the Chesterfield Inn. We were both glad we did. We were graciously greeted by the woman at the front desk who escorted us to the dining room. The Chesterfield Inn is an elegant place and has a lovely, peaceful, dignified aura. Our server, Alexis, was attentive without being obtrusive. She made excellent wine suggestions. The food was flavorful, the shrimp, the Brussels sprouts, and the crostini, all delicious. I will say, as a non-meat eater, the main menu did not have a wide range of choices, but in the end, it did not matter. It was a lovely evening and I would go back.

Wonderful place, My son wanted to have a nice small get together on his wedding night with all the family. Had a great time and the Chesterfield Inn is a wonderful place in New Hampshire. We would recommend for a quiet getaway.

We were completely enamored with the Chesterfield Inn. The spacious rooms are beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. There is every amenity you could ask for with a staff that was genuinely eager to make you comfortable and happy in your stay. Our breakfast was top tier with so many choices and breakfast "specials" that it was actually hard to decide among so many tempting choices. The rolling rural setting is calming and private, yet minutes from local shopping, galleries and restaurants. We will absolutely stay and the Chesterfield again when next in this area.

Beautiful room #19. Great view. Comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom. Very clean. We also enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Meals were great and Judy's morning muffins are delicious. All of the staff are incredibly accommodating, engaging and full of helpful tips on where to go and what to see.
